Visited this cozy Greek Restaurant with my sister and daughter. The food was delicious with generous portions (we each took half of our meals home). The owner was very friendly and recognized us from a previous visit. My Daughter follows a gluten free diet and there were many food options on the menu that are gluten free including breads tortillas and cheesecake! We shared a slice of gluten free cheesecake for dessert, unsure if we would like it being it was gluten free, but it was light, creamy, not too sweet and as delicious as it looked! Kasos is a hidden gem in Roscoe.

Phenomenal! We stopped at this tiny spot on the way to my parent’s cabin up in Arkville, and it was delicious! I got the lamb gyro and my son got a (less adventurous) bacon cheeseburger. My gyro was very tasty, the lamb was season perfectly. The vegetables were crisp and the pita was soft, warm and delicious. It came with a Greek salad that, while not truly Greek (it had lettuce) it was wonderful nonetheless. My son ordered his burger medium rare and it came closer to medium well, but he said it tasted great, regardless. Highly recommend this little spot!

One of the best chicken shish kebabs I’ve ever had — easily in my top three. You definitely have to try it.

We were in Livingston Manor and my son found this place on google maps and wanted to try it. It looks modest from the outside and we weren’t sure what to expect when we got there. It smelled amazing when we walked in and we could already tell it was going to be good. We had the skordalia garlic dip to start and it was amazing.m – the pitas were soft and satisfyingly chewy. Plan to avoid people for the next 24 hours because you will reek of garlic and it’s sooo worth it. We also tried the pork and chicken souvlaki platter and gyro and everything was delicious. Even the side salad had homemade dressing that was so good we ate it all. It was also fun to drink mythos beer again, which we haven’t had since being in Greece. We finished with some baklava that was perfectly sweet, flaky, and sticky – just the way it should be. We had a great meal and already can’t wait to go back next time we are in the Catskills!

Great food, great service! We stopped in for lunch during the week were greeted promptly and served quickly. The menu has something for everyone, we had gyro platters and everything came out hot, fresh and delicious. The owner personally checked on us to make sure we were happy. We had a great lunch in a beautiful restaurant in a quaint little town.

Loved the food and the atmosphere. The owner was very nice, friendly when she greeted us and other customers. She was very personable, the food was delicious. If you pay with cash, she offers 4% discount. The portions were a nice size but the prices for lunch were expensive.

All things considered, this place is do-able for lunch if you are out of other options. Greek is more of a suggestion here than the choice cuisine. The wait was damn long, and the service was very slow, however the waitress was very nice and seemed to be busy doing her job. Ok now the food, #1 dip platter was a disappointment, our group particularly did not care for the babaganoush, some of my friends said it was sewer adjacent. I think the hummus tastes fresh which was good but it was a bit mild for my palette. I had the lamb gyro, i honestly can not be sure it was actually lamb? Also it was slapped with tzatziki sauce and made it very messy to eat. The flavor was meh. Finally the one thing i thought would be the least contested is the greek salad. In the other reviews it looks proper and authentic, but ours had a lot romaine lettuce, and this entire experience makes me question if anyone has been to Greece or or is the food being catered to an americana centric diet, you decide!

We grabbed dinner to go while passing through Roscoe on a road trip, and our meal was unexpectedly phenomenal!! The stuffed grape leaves were luscious and the falafel platter was both generously portioned and perfectly prepared. The pita & hummus tasted distinctly fresh and homemade. And definitely don’t skip dessert! The tiramisu was heavenly, but tres leches and cheesecake looked just as divine. We will absolutely dine at Kasos again if we are ever in the area!
