Food was good and really affordable price. The person who served us was very sweet. I originally ordered loaded potatoe soup without realizing that it has pork. But once I mentioned they almost instantly changed it without charging anything.

I had dinner with my son here tonight, and we were not disappointed! I grew up in Choteau and this place was always a favorite. John Henry’s is clean, the food is delicious, and the service is fast and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. The burger has a name but for the life of me I can’t recall it. The burger was stacked with bacon, jalapeños, cheese , lettuce, tomato and onions (some toppings are optional) the sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection and I didn’t leave too much food in the basket once I started eating. The atmosphere is welcoming, I didn’t wait too long for the food and my server was exceptional. The price is good and evidently their pizza is amazing so I may try that next time around. I would recommend this restaurant when in the Choteau area.

One of the only places open later in the day for food..service was very good, small little place with an assortment of food offerings. We had some wings with a side ‘bottle’ of ranch . Pizza were tasty with homemade thin crust. Prizing was in line for what we received . I would return. Thank you

We were pleasantly surprised with the wide menu, food quality & reasonable prices! Driving through town with two young kids on off hours (weekday lunch), we expected basic frozen food items- but they had so many side choices, a kids menu, beer and the actual best French dip sandwich! The historic photos on the walls were very cool as well. Highly recommend it.

I am a wounded military veteran that resides beside John Henry’s. Yesterday I had a very unkind treatment in this restaurant. As I was about to eat my meal, this heavy set, dark haired waitress came up to me and said I cannot have my SERVICE DOG inside. I was unpleasantly surprised! The owner of this place knows me, as they literally are my neighbors and have had a few friendly conversations. This waitress is out of control and IGNORANT. I use this word ignorant because that’s how the Sheriffs described such attitude. Despite the fact I showed them Hunter’s ID as a service dog, she walked towards the owner of the restaurant and uttered “HE IS NOT A SERVICE DOG and I am calling the cops.” The owner did not do anything, I asked him, are you really going to let your employee embarrass you? He said, “let her call the cops and they will straighten her out.”
When the Sheriffs came, they instantly recognized my dog Hunter. I showed them the proof of his identity and the a copy of ADA jurisprudence which would clearly show that the way we have been treated is unprovoked, unfounded, indecent, discourteous and discriminatory. I did not hear an apology from them, however, the Sheriffs’ that responded thanked me for my service and apologized for the embarrassment this restaurant caused. I paid the food I did not eat and will never even consider supporting this local restaurant. If only LOG CABIN is not closed on Mondays, I would have not made a mistake trying to eat in this place.
Hunter is well loved and honored by a lot of people especially the veterans in the hospital where we both volunteered at. As shown above, he truly is a reliable and well mannered dog. Hunter is very loyal towards me, the service that he provides for me is out of his love and it is something no one can ever replaced or pay.

This. This is what I think of when I think of a Montana family restaurant/bar. Outstanding service, great burgers, fair prices. And the city of Choteau itself is worth visiting. I’ll make the drive out here just to eat at John Henry’s. Try the Alpine burger with Alpine fries.

I purposely drive hwy 89 when coming to Montana from Alberta , strictly so I can come and eat at this resteraunt. The food is always wonderful, the staff extremely kind and attentive, and the owner iis second to none. The prices are excellent, the portions huge! . The best hamburger I’ve ever had, and the steaks are to die for. Apparently the pizza fits in that same category but we can’t get past the other things to order it ..lol..
Please patronize this resteraunt if you want super good home made food, located right on main street Choteau. You will not be dissapointed,! We don’t travel on Sundays, because that is the one day they are closed. Truly a diamond in the rough !
