It’s a relatively small place but it’s worth any wait you may have. Friendly, attentive people will take care of you. You’ll struggle to pick something on the menu (and will need to go back another day). Your food will be fantastic and you’ll leave with a full belly.
My wife got the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich. I opted for the eggs, gravy and potatoes. Everything was delicious! We saw beignets on several tables and they looked yummy.
I can’t wait to go back…

First time here and was very pleased! First off, I love how you can get on the waitlist online, we added ourselves while we were getting ready/on the way (about 35 minutes) and we got a notification that we were next in line as we parked so no wait time this time around! Secondly, the food was delicious, every plate my group got was very much enjoyed. I only docked 1 star from the atmosphere because the place is pretty small and can get pretty loud, but it’s really worth it in the end!

My husband and I went here for breakfast and it was so yummy! We got the beignets and sausage gravy and their CJ slinger. We also got black coffee and shaken iced oat chai latte. We will be back asap! I wanted to try everything on the menu.

We went a second time and got the line cook delight and everything was so good again!

Stopped in with my wife for the first time on Friday, 12/6/25 at 10 AM and loved it. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and the food was fresh and delicious. Grand Pied made a great first impression — we’ll definitely be back!

This is the best brunch in South StL!!! I love everything about the establishment from the music, to of course the food, the staff(Emily is heavem sent) and the decor. This is a true example of small business. The ordering process is done through your phone from a QR code and delivered right to your table. The decor is quirky and unique and the food is fresh and delicious like eating at grandma’s house. I love that the establishment is BYOB and they offer seating both indoors and outside. I recommend the pancakes, hands down the best decision you’ll ever make! Again fresh food, great staff, and beautiful environment.

Food ) service were both Stellar, the pancakes were good but they were different than usual – they were like 1/2 of am inch. The eggs were super savory, and delicious. You order off a QR code and order and purchase off your phone, the waitress knows who ordered what via the seat number, pay over your phone. All the food is fresh, and made all sauces and jams are made in house. 4.5 out 5 *’s.

Had to tap into my Creole side and finally tried gumbo over grits…and wow. That combo is crazy good. Already had it twice and I’m not done yet. Flavor was rich, bold, and just hit right. Put the egg on top!

And the pancakes? Man, I wasn’t ready. Light, fluffy, and somehow super unique.. never had pancakes like that before. Whole meal was straight . If you’re thinking about it, stop thinking and just go.

The food at Grand Pied tasted great and we really enjoyed our meals. The only downside was the reservation experience: my friend called ahead for a table of 6 and was told they don’t take reservations. When we arrived, there was a table for 4 and 2 available, but we were told it was being held for someone who had just called. Online it even showed no wait. Thankfully, we were eventually seated, and a kind couple moved so our group could sit together. Overall, the food was excellent, but the seating process could definitely be more consistent.

Two friends and I just left the restaurant and I had to write this review. Best pancakes I’ve had in a restaurant. I also ordered the house made sausage patties and the grits and gumbo (big back behavior, I know). Absolutely amazing. I tasted my friend’s fried potatoes (perfectly crunch outside and pillowy interior). A lady we met gave us mimosas (byob) so how cool is that. And the owner and staff were extremely personable. It’s a good vibe for sure. Definitely going back again!

The food, environment, service style stands out here. This is the place to go and to send your friends. On a Sunday morning we put our names on the list for a table online, waited not all that long. Around maybe 30 min when 7 groups were ahead of our group of 4. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool. We ordered from the QR code on the table and the food and drinks were sent straight to our table. While we loved every single thing we ordered our stand out orders were- The Grits(O.M.G), the goat cheese omelette, the grits topped gumbo, and the matcha.

I will return- and I will send my friends.

Notable mention was the gold stars those of us who finished our food received. ⭐️
