This place is the real deal. My family of 5 and I are always looking for authentic Italian places to eat. Leo’s has it all. We got 2 pizzas, 2 paninis and the Alfredo with fettuccine. Everything came out hot and absolutely delicious. You can taste the natural ingredients right from Italy. I would 100% recommend this place.

Excellent pizza with interesting toppings served in a charming converted house. We got a Mortazza pizza from the menu (pictured) and byo pizza with porchetta and mushrooms. Both pizzas were wonderful. The meatballs are perfectly tender and delightfully flavorful and I can’t recommend them enough. The chocolate dipped cannoli shells and tiramisu were also delicious. So glad to have eaten here while visiting family in Franklin and hope to come back next visit.

Honestly I’ve had italian food before but this is the best I’ve had in years!! Definitely coming back and I recommend if you’re looking for an authentic italian spot. Also the gelato and tiramisu are a must try!!

I travel over from Hiawassee to eat at Leo’s cafe and have sampled most of the menu. Really outstanding created to order real Italian cuisine. All of the main line pasta dishes are clearly made with high end fresh ingredients and flavorful. And the various Italian sandwiches and beyond authentic with imported meats and cheeses that are a feast to the senses as you bite through the layers. Just be patient as this level of goodness takes time to prepare. I think the prices are very reasonable considering the quality and authenticity.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Was traveling through Franklin when we passed this restaurant, it looked inviting so we turned around to give it a try.
They knocked it out of the park! Everything we had was so good. The roasted potatoes were perfection. Our meal was delicious, portion size was enough for two, atmosphere was so inviting and the staff were so nice and friendly. We loved our conversation with them. It felt like you were at home with family, sharing a meal and just enjoying each other. (That is very rare in these days)….
And I will make the nearly two hour drive just for their gelato….. I wished I wasn’t so full from my meal that I could have eaten all they had. LoL
** It was that good! I see another road trip in the near future 😉

Seems all fresh and excellent quality ingredients used. The pizza was, 8 out of 10, but could have used more sauce. Sausage was ground fine, I like bigger pieces. Crust was very good and it was bake well. Pasta dish was very good, a 9 out of 10, but very small portion of steak.

Absolutely out of this world! Top notch imported ingredients. You can tell they do not cut corners on quality and that’s impossible to find these days. Our family was treated like family, our food tasted home cooked in the best possible way…and the atmosphere was relaxing, classy but also welcoming for our family with children. We live in Clayton but will be making the drive to come back again and again!

We stopped in here while on vacation. We’ve been coming to Franklin for the last 5 years or so. The one thing that’s always very lacking in this town is good options in terms of where to eat. We usually get Papa John’s but the quality of Papa Johns is just not what it used to be. We decided to try Leo’s this time and I can honestly say it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. There is no other place that comes close. Its obvious that the ingredients they use are authentic and high quality. This place was even better then the pizza I’ve had in NY in my opinion. I almost didn’t give this place a chance because of a couple negative reviews, and I’m so glad I didn’t listen. I overheard one of the employees telling another customer that they make everything from scratch, even the gelato. I wish we lived in town, this would be my #1 spot if I did. This will definitely be our spot when we come back next year.
