It is hard for me to give a truly valuable review…

First, I was dining solo, so only got one item…

And second, I despise mayo, so I declined their signature “White Sauce”. Which is supposedly a big part of their flavor profile!

But given those limitations…

I dropped into the bright, clean storefront.

Since they had just opened, they were heavily staffed, which was nice.

Ordering was easy and friendly.

I got a Pita Sandwich with “Gyro Beef”. I added the options of lettuce, tomato, and onion.

Also got a packet of their Hot Sauce, which is very very Hot indeed (and heavy on the smoky paprika flavors).

It was all fine!

I will return to try additional items, such as the hummus and falafel.

Mr. Darshan is an amazing person. He made our trip all worthwhile with his exceptional service. The rice, chicken and beef were fresh. And the platters were loaded with their signature sauce. The falafel was deeply fried and crispy served with a tasty dip. The overall experience was great and I recommend you visit the spot when in NC. Thank you again Darshan! God bless you

I am a regular since they opened (fyi, already been there 3 times since the grand opening which was on April 19th, Saturday!!)The food always taste amazing and portion size is always plenty. I have been to several THG locations in different cities and by far have loved this one the most because it’s very close to the NY flavors!! The white sauce has creamy and perfect flavours you need to complete the bowl, the red sauce has kick and my fav is the herbal sauce and bbq chili sauce. I usually get the falafel and honestly it was cooked to perfection. Crispy but not at all dry, which has honestly been a concern! I am glad they have that figured out. And the rice is seasoned and fluffy, have just loved it always!
The staff is so friendly and always have a smile! They are patient and polite.

On the day of grand opening there was a huge line but was amazed how quickly people were able to get in and order. The energy of the store was just super positive and welcoming. Lots of staff helping people who haven’t tried the food before and didn’t know bout the franchise . I went in the afternoon and the staff were also giving out free water bottle and candy for kids simply because it was sunny and they had to stand in the line! Honestly this was shows kindness and that they really care for their customers! I personally think this is so sweet!

All said, 10/10 would recommend!

Tried Halal Guys in Cary — not bad! I saw a few negative reviews here but didn’t have any issues myself. It’s as good as, or even better than, other Halal Guys locations in the U.S. Of course, if you’re not into this type of food, you might have some complaints. The service was good, and the staff was very courteous. No issues here, if you like shawarma, sandwiches, or chicken rice platters, it’s worth the trip!

The Halal Guys just opened last Saturday and the hype was real—huge queue on day one! I stopped by and luckily didn’t have to wait long. The energy was great, staff was on point, and the food? Totally worth it. I got the chicken and gyro platter, and it hit all the right notes—flavorful, fresh, and that white sauce is still undefeated. Definitely a strong start for this new spot!

I went to The Halal Guys for lunch today for the first time. I had the chicken pita and it was overflowing with chicken! The pita was delicious, the staff was smiling and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back!

The new Cary location is exactly what we needed! It’s super clean, the staff is so friendly and welcoming! We ordered the classic combo platter (chicken and beef gyro over rice), chicken sandwich, falafel rice platter with white sauce with side of the hot sauce! And that hot sauce is serious!!!!

I am from NYC and know Halal Guys from 6th Ave & 53rd street OG food cart, we have tried multiple locations and this one is actually one of my favorites now! Flavorful meat especially the chicken, warm fluffy rice, fresh lettuce, and soft pita on the side! The portions are so big! I can have 2 meals out of 1 so I don’t know why some reviews say portions are slow!

Also we were in and out within 10 minutes with food for 4 people so def fast service too.

Great food. I had the falafel platter. Others had chicken and falafel or gyro meat. Very tasty and reasonable quantities for the price. Hot sauce is hot!
Very popular with lines to order and few inside tables. More space outside.
I may have eaten at their midtown Manhattan food truck back in the day but I’ve had too many meals since then to compare the original with the Cary NC version.

Better than the original in NYC! The chicken is juicier, the gyro is more flavorful, and the white sauce is perfection. Generous portions, super fresh, and the friendliest staff around. Cary Halal Guys sets the new gold standard!

Having known Halal guys from my college days in NJ.. back when they did not expand via franchising, I’ve got to say that this is one of the worst experiences ever. I’ve been to several of their franchises throughout US.. from east coast to west coast (Los Angeles, Virginia, New Jersey, Charlotte – NC etc), this one takes the pie of being of the worst.

Service was terrible. I placed an order via their app, which was supposed to be picked up in approximately 20 minutes. When I arrived, I went straight to the pickup spot & when asked, gave them my name. They acknowledged, but nothing was done. I patiently waited for 5 more minutes & reminded them again.. same story: they acknowledged as if they’re looking for my order.

Few minutes passed by & he asks again. I gave him my name & he tells me that it will take 7-8 minutes. That’s when I noticed that he was actually starting to work on my order. And by the way, this is already 20-30 minutes after my scheduled pickup time.

Finally my order was ready. I asked if he put white sauce or hot sauce, he said he totally forgot. I asked if he can give me some on the side. Then when I went outside to eat, I noticed that there was no cutlery. I had to come back & ask for that as well.

Now comes the food part: It was terrible. A little bit burnt, portion size was way too less than what I get at any other Halal Guys franchise.

If I would have not ordered online, it would have been way easier & quicker for me to get in line & be done with my food.

They really need to improve, specially being organized & show better customer service.

I’d continue going to the Tasty Halal place in Morrisville, until these guys show improvement. Their portion size, taste & quality of service is awesome and (so far) way better than this place!
