My parents and I always come here! Amazing quality food. Nice quiet ambiance. Great service. The sushi here is so fresh! If you love cripsy tuna you MUST order Crispy Rice Tartar!! Their other specialty sushi hand rolls are delicious!

The staff is friendly and polite, and the service is impressively quick. The hibachi chicken was tasty, freshly prepared, and served in a generous portion. I also tried two sushi rolls—one was great, while the other didn’t quite hit the mark. Overall, it was a good experience!

Excellent food. Found this place on a whim!
So glad that we found the restaurant because the sushi was fresh and tasted amazing!
I have added it to my favorites so we could go back and try the sushi sandwiches! My daughters favorite was the salmon roll. The shrimp tempura roll was warm and the best that I ever had. I also enjoyed the special a Red Dragon Roll.

Used to be good, waited 2 hours last weekend for a pick up that was supposed to be ready within 30 min. It was busy sure, but two hours for some sushi is insane. Girl at the counter wasnt nice or helpful and the sushi tasted off, not sure how to describe it but certainly not how yellowtail should taste.

I recently indulged in takeout from Sakura Sushi in Manalapan, and I must say, my taste buds were in for a treat. While the menu boasted an extensive selection of classic Japanese dishes, I couldn’t resist indulging in a few staples. Here’s the lowdown on what I ordered:

The chicken teriyaki was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal, with a perfect blend of savory and sweet flavors that left me wanting more. I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

The katsudon, while tasty, wasn’t quite as impressive as the teriyaki. The pork cutlet was cooked to perfection, but the dish lacked a certain depth of flavor that would have elevated it to the next level. I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Moving on to the sushi, the Philly roll was decent, but nothing to write home about. The same can be said for the spicy tuna and salmon rolls, which were fresh but not exceptional. Each of these rolls garnered a 3.5 out of 5 stars from me.

Unfortunately, the kani salad was a bit of a letdown. While the dish had potential, the lack of masago and flavor left me feeling underwhelmed. I’d give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

The miso soup and house salad were both decent, but again, nothing to write home about. Each dish received a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

While the food was certainly enjoyable, I couldn’t help but notice that it didn’t seem as fresh as it could have been. Compared to other sushi places I’ve dined at, Sakura Sushi fell a bit short in this department.

All things considered, I’d give Sakura Sushi a respectable 3.5 out of 5 stars. While there were certainly highlights, the food as a whole didn’t quite reach the level of excellence I was hoping for.

I added shrimp and vegetables to my hibachi noodles. I asked to NOT have any mushrooms added. I got three curled up dried out farmed shrimp for the additional 3.00$. The vegetables were one slice of cooked red onion, some shredded lettuce, and more mushrooms than noodles. The (specialty) angel roll had some crunch to it. I like that. But unfortunately the crunch was the dried out, precooked beforehand, white rice.
My kids like it there but their palates are not very sophisticated. It seems usually busy with mostly teenagers and very young adults. I recommend anyone who likes real Japanese food or fresh food in general, to leave this place to the them.

This is our favorite local sushi place. My son and husband enjoy most of the menu – chicken teriyaki bento box, Oga rolls and most of the other special rolls (the names of which escape me). I don’t eat meat or raw fish, so I always order the veggie roll and spicy shrimp roll. These are my favorites. I recently tried the Boston shrimp roll. It was pretty good, and has a honey wasabi sauce on top.

We are always satisfied after our meals (especially after having ordered miso soup and rock shrimp for appetizers).

This is a small restaurant in Manalapan, but there is rarely a long wait for a table. Only one bthroom, but it is clean

This place is BYOB, with very friendly staff!

Came here with friends and was surprised to discover a great sushi place with such tasty rolls tucked into a strip mall I have been to countless times.

This is no hidden gem to the locals, the restaurant is always crowded, with a line out the door at times. Staff was friendly and service was quick, considering.
