Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the setting. The menu was already limited due to their temporary setup, and right before ordering we were told they were out of burgers, which eliminates a big portion of the menu. The shrimp tacos were just okay, and the mahi was dry and tough. The quesadilla was especially disappointing and nowhere near worth the price.
Drinks were another letdown. We were told they were out of well vodka and would have to upcharge $3 for premium, but when the drinks finally came out—after the food—they were very weak.
Our waiter was friendly but clearly overwhelmed and seemed to be the only one covering the area. To their credit, the food did come out quickly and hot. There were also signs everywhere advertising $5 off with a parking receipt. We showed ours but didn’t receive the discount, and I didn’t realize it until checking the receipt later.
Overall, despite the incredible location and friendly service, we left feeling disappointed and wishing we had gone somewhere else. Hopefully once they’re fully back on their feet, the experience will match the setting.
Waitress was helpful, on top of things and friendly. October 2025
We waited nearly 45 minutes with no update, and when we checked in, we were told they “couldn’t find us,” even though we were seated right next to the bar. There were multiple bartenders but no sense of order or anyone in charge. The food that finally came out was clearly old, and instead of making a fresh meal they just re-fried it. The shrimp were rubbery, the fries were greasy and heavy, and everything tasted like frozen cafeteria food despite the high prices.
Between the disorganized staff, long wait, and bad food, it feels like this place coasts on its location. I wouldn’t go back.
We sat outside, feet in the sand and the view is unbeatable. White sand and beautiful clear water.
They have a reduced menu of course but that is understandable and I was happy to be there. Good drinks selection. Food was ok and service was prompt – Our waiter was very nice.
They even had lounge chairs with umbrellas on the beach near the water and we made use of that. They even take orders and bring you drinks right there. Those are free to customers but tips to the guys setting them up are suggested of course.
Always loved Caddy’s and was sad to see their restaurant destroyed but love that they’ve managed to survive and more, continue to serve their customers.
First off, this was me and my wife’s first time going to treasure island beach, we heard of Caddy’s from a friend so we figured we would park near the restaurant and then sit on the beach and order food and drinks later in the day. We got there at 11a, and by 11:30a this guy who works at Caddy’s who was a heavier set guy in a bright yellow shirt came up to me (as my wife was up at the bar to get us drinks) and says that there are no cooler bags allowed on Caddy’s property. The proceeded to ask me what was in it and when I told him he went ahead and opened our bag and started to rummage through it. He then said that we can’t have outside alcohol on the property and told me to remove it. I said I didn’t know, as this is our first time there and he didn’t say anything but he proceeded to actively stand there and watch me to make sure I was bringing the bag back to our car. It honestly felt like I was a criminal the way he was treating the situation and me. Throughout the day people were coming onto the beach and him and another guy in an orange caddy’s shirt, glasses and a hat, were walking around the beach just simply asking people if they had any alcohol in their bags/ coolers and when they said no, he said ok thank you enjoy your day. He did not rummage through ANYONE ELSES bags but ours. Also, to top it off, he asked a group of college students if they had alcohol in their bags, they said no of course not, he walked away and then come to see later in the day, they wound up pulling out a jug of alcohol from their bags and filing up their soda bottles with it. There was also people there with cases of alcohol and coolers out in the open and nothing said to them. We were targeted for no reason at all. He could have went about it a whole different way and it turned us off to this place in a major way. We understand and respect no outside alcohol, but we did not appreciate this person thumbing through our bag and treating us the way he did when all he did was ask the other people on the beach if they had alcohol and then walked away. Super inappropriate and off putting. On top of all that, $6 an hour to park is insanity. Safe to say we’re never going back there.
