I found this place by chance and am so thankful the food is awesome. The staff was great each server took great care of us . We ate there 3 times in a row and loved the food. This is a hidden gem I loved the down home small restaurant. The food will speak for itself.

We had a school tournament and was looking for a place to eat. Found this place on the map. It was such a great find. Fish, soup, & sandwiches were all really good. The hush puppies were the star of the show for us. The fish was not overly breaded and the blacked white fish was perfectly seasoned. Prices & fantastic service were the nice topping on the cake. We have added this as a favorite to stop back in, when back in town.

Stopped for lunch on a whim. It was very tasty. Paid a fair price for a clam basket lunch special. Portions were decent and the beer was cold. I sat at a table outside. The waitress was so kind: she brought a bowl of water for my dog. I would definitely eat here again.

Clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had and the fried Clams were equally delish. Got cheese burger and fries too but definitely a great sea food spot.

Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon. Had seen the reviews for the Crystal River location and was interested in going, but wound up here by accident. Kids wanted hot dogs and grilled cheese…I mean…kids. They liked it and ate it quickly – which is always a sign of approval. My wife and I split an Admiral’s Platter with gator bites, sea scallops, oysters, full belly clams, haddock, fries, and hush puppies. Everything was delicious. Scallops were the biggest and best I’ve had. Clams were at least as good as I’ve had, as was the haddock. I am always a little apprehensive when I order gator, because some people do it well and some really don’t – but this was gator done RIGHT! Price was very reasonable for feeding two adults and lots of boys. We brought home two boxes with leftovers, so I think portions were good.
Waitress was wonderful, accommodating, and friendly. Environment was very low key and without pretentious airs – which is a big deal for us because (1) We have kids, and (2) I don’t like feeling like I have some sort of sophistication or knowledge to prove when I just want a good meal. This spot is very small, but it is kind of off the main roads so I’d imagine it’s right-sized. Great experience. Would go back if in the area.

This was our second time eating at Dan’s Clam stand. It’s good. The first time we went it was either much better or we were just really hungry. My son loves their cheese burger he likes seafood but chooses the burger. The shrimp are good, not great, not bad, but a little better than average. The clam strips are better than average not chewy. Service was ok not rude, but not friendly. Food came out quickly. Drinks had a hint of dish soap flavor. A little over priced compared to other comparable places in the area.
