If you’re coming here, get the Queso Fundido! It’s huge and adding chorizo is the move. The Carne Asada is some of the best we’ve had recently—perfectly seasoned. My Birria was tasty, but be prepared for a very rich/greasy tortilla since it’s fried with cheese. The Charro beans are the standout side dish. Excellent service from Brian made the night even better.

Came for lunch at Blanco Cocina but + Cantina.
Pros:
~Centrally located on Orange Avenue in Coronado, about a 10 minute walk from the Hotel Del and a 25 min walk from the Ferry Landing.
~Indoor and outdoor dining, plus a sit-at bar.
~Clean.
~Very fresh food, fish tacos, rice and beans were delicious.
~Complementary chips and salsa.
~Excellent variety of menu choices.
~Modern decor with large booths, big windows, plants, good vibes music.
~Friendly, bubbly waitress.
~Pay by QR/Apple Pay on your phone – no waiting for the waitress to return.
Cons:
~Took a beat longer than we would have liked for the food to come, but it IS very fresh.
~We had to ask the passing hostess for an extra plate as our waitress wasn’t around.
~When one of us asked for more water, it took about 10 minutes to receive it. (Meantime I gave my husband some of my water as he was parched).
~We asked for a second batch of chips and salsa, but we didn’t ever get them.
For these reasons, we slightly down-graded the tip.
Overall, a great addition to Coronado’s Orange Avenue that I would recommend.

My first complaint is that our food was forgotten and the waitress told us they lost our ticket. When we did get our food, over an hour later, the beans were black when we had ordered borracho. We ordered the carne asada fajitas to share.
Overall, the food and the margaritas were delicious. For the pricing, I expected better service. Our waitress was really sweet. But I am not sure if she had too many tables or if they were short staffed because we never got our waters when asked for them in the beginning with our margaritas. We had to ask 2 different other people to get water. Our waters also came way late instead of with our margaritas.
I would go back and give this place another chance. I thought the vibe of the restaurant was nice and we did have a good view. The Las Frutas and Mezcalito margs were my favorites.

Absolutely delicious Mexican food, steps away from the Hotel del Coronado! The shrimp tacos were divine, with sweet pickled onions, tangy cabbage slaw, and a crema that balanced the acidity of the tacos perfectly. My friends ordered the birria tacos and chicken tinga enchiladas, which they said were outstanding.
The food is fresh and layered with flavor. Service was fast and friendly. Also, plenty of gluten free and celiac-safe options. Highly recommend Blanco Cocina for your next casual meal or lunch!

We enjoyed delicious tacos and enchiladas at a great price. The corn tortillas were homemade with grilled pineapple and chicken and just the right amount of spice. The chicken tinga enchiladas were served with a warm sauce and smooth guacamole. During happy hour they offer $7 tacos and an $8 glass of wine. This rare gem in the heart of Orange Ave does it right. We’ll definitely be back.

Service was quick, informative and food was fantastic.
They give nachos and salsa to start. We took our waiter’s recommendations and split multiple meals and apps. The street corn and shredded beef tacos were our favourite.

I loved their chips and salsa , they’re Smashburger is Yum, their combos are a great way to try a little bit of everything, there elotes are incredible and will hit the spot every time.
If possible will make a reservation because there’s always a line .
