I was a little skeptical when my wife asked for Café Rio takeout for Valentines Day. “A tasty Italian joint instead, perhaps? ” I said. But this really sounded good to her, so off I wentto pick up our order.
Major kudos to Cafe Rio. Take a look at this picture. What fast food place you know of puts their carryout in heart shaped containers just for the holiday? As crazy as this sounds, I have to say… Thank you Cafe Rio for making Valentines Day special 🙂

I am incredibly disappointed with this particular location. Last week I brought my family here and we had orders to go. Everything was fine and I was happy to return today to order some lunch just for myself during working hours. I attempted to order the exact same thing that I had last week. Nachos with chips on the side. Half pinto and half black beans half of one salsa half of another, etc.
Last week I ordered the same thing and didn’t have any up charges. Today I had almost $6 in surcharges for beans for rice and for salsa being split. General manager is the one who authorized these charges and I asked for transparency in where they list these extra costs and to tell me where these surcharges come from. She wouldn’t give me an answer nor would she tell me her name after I told her that I wanted to tell corporate about this.
I’m not going to spend $19 for a bowl of nachos. This was absurd the way they were trying to take advantage. I told the lady at the end that I just wanted her the corporate number and her name and she would not provide me with either…. So I refused to buy the food and walked out.
I’m taking my business to Qdoba today. Totally disappointed today in the way the restaurant manager handled this situation. This is general manager needs to understand customer service and be grateful someone is spending even $12 for a bowl of nachos.
Just lost my business as well as my children who love to patronize this chain. I have such a sour taste in my mind from this experience that corporate will need to extend some apology and create some assurances that they will not allow their managers to abuse customers like this before I consider returning.

Said they never got my online order. They did… Waited while they were closing the store and breaking the line down over 2 hours early. (Should have canceled it then) didn’t make the order correct. Paid for items I never received. Drove home to disappointment.
Go to another location. It’s worth it.
Her burrito was mostly rice, she ordered extra meat. My salad came with an vien in it.

These guys are great. I felt like a part of the family as soon as I walked in.. These are warm and inviting people. I got a fantastic burrito, Ive been missing a burrito like this for a while as I am from Austin Tex. 5 stars for sure.

I used to love Cafe Rio but within the last few months something has unfortunately changed here and everything tastes different. Menu options are now different and dressings for salads are not great. I really miss the Cilantro Vinaigrette!

The female manager on Halloween was one of the meanest people I’ve never met, screamed at me and the worker making my buttiro that i couldnt add lettuce or more than 1 salsa. i even stated i would pay more and she said no way. The burrito i got was the driest thing I’ve ever eaten. Super unprofessional
i will never return and that lady needs to be talked to. And do not recommend people go

I picked up an order I made on the restraunts website and it was absolutely horrible. It looked old, disgusting, and there was hardly anything in my bowel, hardly an rice and and they didn’t even give me the fajita veggies I order for my bowl. Called the restraunt to complain and no one ever answered the phone. Went back to the restaurant to have them remake my order and they made it entirely wrong a second time. Still did not put the stuff on the items I ordered and this second time added stuff I didn’t even order ruining my food for a second time in one half hour. Everyone here needs to be fired.

Food is good, just way too expensive.
On taco Tuesday, I ordered 3 tacos and they charged me $17 dollars. That is crazy.
Ill probably go somewhere else, many other options around with reasonable prices.

Overall a very poor experience. We walked in on a Saturday morning (August 5th) and I assume we were one of the very first customers of the day (if not the first ones). We took a few minutes to look at the menu and when we were ready to order things just became chaotic. The person taking the order made us feel as if we were a burden to them. He didn’t listen to the order, he mistakingly made us a dessert when I was asking for nachos, then gave me a dirty look when I mentioned I didn’t order the dessert. My husband felt bad and decided to pay for the dessert either way.
Food itself is very salty and my tortilla soup was barley warm.
From the good- their tortillas are freshly made in-house and are delicious! The dessert ended up being quite tasty!
