Over the top friendly service! The server was spot on with his recommendations.
The foods are abundant with flavors, constantly redirecting your taste buds. Not a dull moment with any dish we have tried. Highly recommend the Jalea Mixta and Bandeja Paisa.
Atmosphere is quaint and comfortable.

Has the best and most flavorful ceviche in town! Extremely filling and perfect amount of citrus, flavor, fish, veggies, and spice! Highly recommend! Also had the empanadas which was very large and filling! Excited to have such a niche spot down the street!

Manos is amazing. This is a mom and pop restaurant. The service is not rushed, don’t plan on going in and eating in 5 minutes. They make fresh food that is out of this world. The gentleman that was doing the serving was so kind and wonderful. We talked about Peru and their dishes and he made the experience worth it beyond all others.
This is a real treasure and I hope more people go and experience this place. Tulsa should be proud of this restaurant.
And try some INCA cola. Wonderful.

I recently had lunch at Manos Peruanas in Tulsa, and it was an amazing experience! The ceviche was by far my favorite—among the best I’ve had in the US. The freshness and flavor were outstanding.

A special shoutout to the owner and staff for their warm hospitality and excellent service. They made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

I love this place. The food is always amazing. La Cause is very delicious, creamy and flavorful. Very well seasoned. My favorite dessert is crema volteada. Always order it when I dine In. Their food does take a long time to be ready. About 45 minutes, I know because I timed them.
PSA: Also, when ordering on the phone they will not prepare your food until one gets there. Just a heads up, to those that would like to order ahead. They do add an extra fee when paying with card. That is why I did not pay ahead because I will NOT pay the fee. When I have cash in hand. Lesson learned. I learned this on my own.

***Responding to the owner that said someone else’s comment is non-sense. I have ordered at different restaurants, I call ahead without having to pay over the phone. I pay cash when I get there and my food is ready. It is an inconvenience that your restaurant is not able to be honest with the customers and let them know you charge a percentage to pay with card. Put up a sign, that this restaurant charges a fee. I understand people order and they forget to pick up their food. But also let the customer know on the phone that their food will not be ready until one pays.***

Thanks Everybody!!

Start your meal with the Causa!
Causa is a delicious, layered mashed potato salad, seasoned with avocado, onions, egg, and Peruvian yellow pepper. In between the two layers of the mashed potatoes is a layer of chicken or shrimp (your choice) mixed with what I thought was a mayo based dressing, green onion and other spices. We ordered it with shrimp. It was topped off with a slice of hardboiled egg, an olive. A delicious appetizer or even a meal by itself.
We were in the restaurant at 2:30 right between the busy hours. There were still a half a dozen patrons enjoying food in the small dining area. Cecilia the owner was busing tables and serving customers. Super nice lady! It was a pleasure to meet her. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with Peruvian art and souvenirs. In the background TVs are playing soft Peruvian music while showing the beautiful landscape and animals of the country.
Upon entering were promptly greeted and seated. Drinks first. Manos has a large selection of South American beverages. I don’t think unsweet iced tea is on their drink menu. I didn’t know, but, that is what I asked for. Cecilia said she would make a fresh pitcher and she did!
I had been studying the menu prior to arrival. The Jalea de Pescado kept catching my eye. It is Sea Bass seasoned with garlic, salt, and flour then fried for 2 minutes. This is some awesome crispy perfectly fried fish accompanied with perfectly fried Peruvian yucca, Peruvian boiled white corn, and a crunchy sampling of mountain roasted corn. The menu describes a “creole onion sauce” on the side for the fish but, it sure tasted like bottled tartar sauce to me. There was a massive amount of fish on the plate; easily enough for two people! The Peruvian boiled white corn was nothing exceptional. It was an interesting to try it for the first time though. It was large kernels of corn similar to hominy, but with more texture and flavor.
My wife was there to have the Mofongo with Shrimp. This too was a big portion of food. A good sized bowl filled with lightly seasoned mofongo, large shrimp, topped with a flavorful sauce that had a taste very similar to Thousand Island dressing.
Very good Peruvian/South American Cuisine

If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection “Jalapeno Highway” on Yelp. I’ve probably been there.

Update 12/12/2025: They have fixed the online ordering system, and the service has improved dramatically, they’re very welcoming and friendly. One of the best places in Tulsa for delicious food with large quantities

Original review: Their food and prices are good, but quality of service needs improvement, hope they can fix it so they stick around for a while

Quality of service issues which happen often: online ordering doesn’t work, menu prices discrepancies, phone call ordering busy or no answer, not greeted when walking in and having to wait around

It’s a small place but very clean and nice! The man that served us last night was amazingly friendly and warm. It felt like we were having dinner at his home.

We tried the Tacu Tacu.. which was befitting for the last day of Black History Month . According to their menu it is a dish “created by African slaves brought to Peru during the colonial period.” We also had the Arroz Chaufa.. which is fried rice influenced by Chinese immigrants to Peru. And finally, the Pabellon Criollo, a Venezuelan dish of stewed shredded beef and rice and beans.

The food was very flavorful and delicious and reasonably priced for the big portions they serve!

I also personally enjoyed the fact that their menu gave background about some of the dishes! It made for a very cool cultural experience and definitely influenced what we chose to order. Go check them out!

Owners are friendly and helpful. Menu might Intimidate newbies. You are not being rushed so take your time. Peruvian food mostly with sprinkle of Caribbean favorites. Had Arepas and empanadas as starters and goat meat with rice and beans and “Mofongo”. Lots of flavors and tender meats. Nothing was spicy. Try the purple corn drink called Chicha Morada.
