Was really wanting Chinese and me and son have ate here so many times before and l et me tell you the food was horrible. Inconsolable. Ordered shrimp curry and they had green beans in curry and got a bad couple of mushrooms and the stem part of broccoli yuck terrible the Kung pao was terrible tasteless and chicken was chewy cartridge ridden and no spice at all. Sause was like paste

5/5 Chinese Donuts – it’s fried dough
5/5 Wonton / Egg Drop Soup – if you’re a fan of yolk, you’re gonna LOVE this soup.

If you order online, wait til you get to the store to leave a tip. The tip I added online was added to the total and a tip line still prints. Double check the total as well, the amount that printed is different than what was online, despite no changes or additional requests.

This is the only Chinese food restaurant in Candler where I live, so my family has eaten food from here many times. I personally am not a fan of Chinese food. My husband loves the Sweet & Sour Chicken with Pork Fried Rice & that’s what he had today. We both had egg rolls & I also had egg fried rice. The egg roll did not sit well with my stomach. The kitchen is very chaotic & service is a bit less than friendly. There are dine-in tables, bit they are always grubby & it is not a nice place to relax, as they are right by the door & usually filled with people waiting on their takeout. There are restrooms, but I have never used them. Plenty of free parking, as this is located at Westridge shopping center, near the Food Lion.

Ordered house special choo suey, house special lol mein, crab Rangoon, egg roll and miso soup.
Great portions, ordered smalls of everything and the house specials both were full of meat which is sometimes lacking at other places. Very hot when I got home with it, which is great.
Rangoon’s need a touch of sugar in my opinion but if you like straight up savory they are great. Plenty of filling.
Egg roll was awful. Undercooked and soggy. Super sad.
Miso soup was great once I added salt… Lots of seaweed and tofu.

I get tofu from this place. The owners legitimately call me “tofu” when I walk in to pick up my order. This place doesn’t deserve a 3.9. it’s a 4.5. The one star reviews seem to be written by people who are sad on the inside and clearly have a problem with having vegetables in their fried rice.. oh and if you order chicken, Ms. one-star-review, maybe don’t be upset that there is pieces of “cartridge”. You are eating a bird, after all.

I was craving some Chinese veggie soup and some fried rice, and I also got a shrimp roll and a veggie roll.
My meal was excellent. The soup was even better than I hoped for. My fried rice was delicious and even better then I anticipated. My shrimp roll was divine, and the entire experience was superb.
They had my order ready so fast that I thought they were saying someone else was ready. My meal was fresh and hot, and they exceeded my expectations and at a very fair price. I will definitely be eating here again.

I personally love this little restaurant. The lady owner is always so nice to me. I’ve become one of her regular customers. I enjoy the food every time I buy from her. It’s always nice to give it a try despite what others think.

Edit: 02/17/2026 I haven’t been back since the day I wrote this review. I see the apology below, but it doesn’t give any offer to make it actually right. Because of how this situation was handled I was out that money for a week. The charge reversal was not short.
Me and my parents used to come here all of the time. It was one of my favorite places, but how you treat someone is important.
The menu said pork fried rice, i verbally said pork fried rice, and they never said anything until i brought it back. Tried giving me some small pieces of pork, and gave it back, when i said i wanted a refund they gave me the wrong change, then took the money back and voided the transaction after being pushed on shorting me.
