Reviews
We were greeted upon arrival and received the guidance we needed to order.
We were both in the mood for sandwiches but I’m happy to know that they offer pasta dishes, as well.
The menu offered many of our favorites and they have a rotating specials menu. Italian inspired at the time of posting but up next is a Turkish inspired menu.
If we lived closer we would not hesitate to visit every time they added the new specials.
I stuck with the Reuben as it’s a favorite comfort meal and the end of my work week warranted comfort.
The fresh corned beef was especially delectable and the sandwich was saucy like I like.
Damn good rye bread, as well.
My partner got the Ricotta Be Kidding Me grilled cheese special served with a side of bolognese (also an option to smother the sandwich in bolognese for a reasonable upcharge).
It was especially good (impressive cheese pull pictured) and the bolognese got his 4th gen Italian American stamp of approval.
The high quality pickles and house made (seasoned to order) potato and sweet potato chips really made the meal that much more special.
I don’t need another tiny bag of sour cream and onion Lay’s with my $15 sandwich as long as I live but most sandwich shops haven’t got the memo.
The interior vibe is cute and hip with many gold framed portraits of people and animals carefully placed about.
Lots of booths so you can rely on comfortable seating (I’m tired of struggling to get comfortable in metal bistro chairs and I know I’m not the only one)
You should expect to spend about $15-25 per person and they have hard water so don’t leave your water bottle in the car like I did if you’re not a bottled water, juice drink, or craft soda person (Stewart’s).
I believe they also serve coffee as I saw a sugar mixing station.
While we were there my partner insisted that no matter how many good sandwich shops we have in Albuquerque no one is doing what they’re doing here.
A cut above the rest worth sharing and making a weekend drive from downtown ABQ to Edgewood for.
The new items are always packed with unique and delicious flavors that change monthly, so it never gets old.
A special shout-out for their Sunday brunch; it’s become a weekly tradition for us! It’s the perfect combination of a relaxed atmosphere and incredibly tasty food.We got the Pumpkin Custard French toast. was unbelievable. We are so pleased with this local gem.
We ordered a couple of sandwiches, the food was at our table in no time. The food was excellent prepared exactly how we had wanted. I’m at the hotel in Edgewood 3 weeks out of the month, every month. I can’t believe I have not been here before. These folks have a really nice menu the food was excellent this is going to be my new place to eat here in Edgewood
I hope the owner or the manager sees this review and says something to his employees. These three young folks were doing an outstanding job they made folks feel welcome and they put out some very very good food.
Thank you again my friends we will definitely be back
UPDATE- we went back again last night, I had the Hawaiian special udon noodles, I cannot express eno7gh how freakin incredible this dish was or is! The flavors are insane!!! It amazes me the quality if food these folks put out of this unassuming small café.
You have new loyal customers, and we will be back often!!!!
