First time visiting and it was so good! Got the grilled chicken taco salad and the meat was still juicy and tender, veggies were fresh, guac was great, the shell was crispy and fresh. They were pretty busy but still very quick with getting everyone taken care of, the staff was great in checking in with the customers. Would definitely recommend and look forward to trying something new next time.

I go to Booyas every Friday night and have for many years. This Friday night was just disappointed it was just so dirty. There was a workers glove on the floor by the ordering line. Chips all over the floor in main walk way area and a huge pile of I don’t know what on the floor in the middle area where the food prep is done. All the men workers were standing around chitchating and I only noticed one young girl sweeping. It was like there was no manager on duty to keep the workers on task. Don’t get me wrong I love this place but I have never seen it like this.

I used to really like patronizing this business…until last night (the day after Valentine’s Day 2026)…when I asked for fresh, hot fries and the male waiter denied me that request and then LIED on me by creating a false narrative to tell the manager (who also denied my request for fresh, hot fries). Wow!

The employee LIED on me by saying that I had gone outside and stayed too long, so therefore that’s why the fries weren’t fresh and hot. WRONG! I clearly informed the employee at the checkout counter that I would be eating outside and while waiting for my order, I briefly went to my car, which was just a few feet away and the employee brought my order outside while I was getting ready to walk back towards the patio of the restaurant…so HOW was I even ever outside “too long”???!!

A LIE doesn’t care who tells it and a LIE doesn’t care who it catches a ride with!

Whatever happened to “the customer comes first”? Whatever happened to “the customer is always right”? Customer service needs to be made great again!

After spending nearly $20 in this business, the least they could do is grant my request for fresh, hot fries (I shouldn’t have even had to ask had the employees done their job right THE FIRST TIME).

It’s one thing to be lazy and lowdown and not want to do their job, but it’s diabolical to LIE on the customer! Fresh, hot fries – Is that too much to ask? Fresh, hot fries – Would that take too much effort and time? Maybe my request was denied because I’m Black ? Maybe the employee LIED on me because I’m black ?

At either rate, this is so disrespectful and their behavior shows that they certainly don’t respect nor value me, so I certainly won’t be back to this business again. BOOOOOOO to BooYa’s !

I took my reusable cup back in to eat in and when I went to get a lid for my cup they no longer have the same cups. No big deal I eat my food and drink with no lid when I go to leave I know I need a lid now bc I don’t want to spill this in my car. I asked if they had any in the back he said no I asked what I could do for them to fix this bc I can’t take this into my car he said nothing. I asked if I could trade my cup for one that would give me a lid he said no. So now I payed for a drink that I can’t even take home. Never will go here again and will everyone how awful yall are

Loved dining in here. The ambiance gives a very cozy yet lively feeling. It’s a very spacious place with friendly people running it.
I loved the fish tacos and shrimp burrito. The owner herself guided me and helped make my serving according to my need as I was on the look for halal food (vegetarian/seafood without any alcohol or contamination). a very humble and friendly lady. Meeting her made my day as I was dining out alone for the first time. The serving size was generous and over all price point is very reasonable. Will definitely visit next time I am in Memphis.

We were headed to a movie tonight and decided to finally try Booya’s the first time. I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the description online as a Tex-Mex style restaurant. It is very similar to a chipotle or a Moe’s restaurant when you go down a line and choose toppings for your nachos or burrito, bowl burrito except at Booyah’s they also have burgers and fries.

All the employees were very nice and helpful. No complaints there. We chose to dine in to kill some time before a movie. The food was mediocre at best. They were very large, and undesirable end pieces of bell peppers in the peppers and onions I received on my nachos. My husband got a burrito and said the same. It was just ok.

The main reason I gave it a poor rating, was cleanliness or lack there of. The walls were very dirty by where we were eating. The napkin dispenser on our table. It was very dirty. The entire restaurant looked very dirty once you started really looking around at the floors in the walls. Yes, it’s a sports bar- I don’t expect it to be pristine, but as you can see from the pictures, this was pretty bad.

Off the chart deliciousness. The chips are absolutely the best in the area. I ordered the steak burrito it was very yummy. I like that you get to watch your food being prepared.

The salsa bar with it’s plethora of salsa choices was a very pleasant surprise.

My wife ordered a salad and my son’s all had tacos. Everyone entered hungry and left content and satisfied.

We hadn’t left the parking lot yet, when the thought crossed my mind of how I looked forward to coming back again in the future to try something new. This looks like it my be our new go to place, watch for updated reviews in the future.

The food is very bland and their queso cheese is real thin they need to thicken it up just a little it looks watery when they pour it on your food and they need to learn to season the meat. The beef look like it has been sitting out for a while it looked kind of dry so they need to learn to cover it up or do better with that because it looked at old.

Visiting from Southern California. Good for Tennessee Mexican. Full bar and popular bar menu/dining. Patio dining is nice. Good staff.

Order at the counter and get everything just the way you want it. Toppings are all included except for $. 75 to add guac.
