I ordered for delivery, the girl who took my order was very nice. The food came fairly fast and still warm. The tacos and chimichanga dinner were sooo good. The guacamole was a little bland but still my new favorite spot in the area! I asked for extra sauce and they didn’t disappoint.

Tacos are good tasting but to save cost all wrapped in foil and no box to keep food warm. Ordered 7 Tacos gave 3 green sauces and 2 hot sauce when I ask them to put one of each for each tacos as the sauce is the magic to tasting good. Today I continued with my mission of finding the best Mexican burrito in all of Chicago. The place I went to today I discovered just simply driving on West Belmont near Elmwood Park in between sales appointments. This place, Meson Del Taco Express 7616 W. Belmont, was not on my list of places to go visit. But boy oh boy am I glad I stopped! On this visit, there was no dine-in available. Everything is to go. The service when I placed my order was absolutely outstanding. The lady at the counter was friendly, attentive and had a lovely smile. Such a nice experience. When I got out to my car and opened up my burrito the first thing I noticed was some of the cutlets of meat that was just outside the tortilla. These little meaty chunks looked so delicious. I could tell it was a quality meat and nicely cut up. I saw no sign of unattractive fatty, grizzle or burnt meat. You know when you know and boy did I know this was going to be a fantastic experience eating this burrito. OMG, simply heaven! This is what I want heaven to be like if I get there! The burrito was stuffed with flavorful well spiced steak, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, avocado and sour cream. The sauce wasn’t that typical red and green sauce you get at every taco joint around. It was more like a brownish sauce. Supposed to be hot but it was definitely tolerable. I highly recommend this place. I am definitely going to keep this noted in my phone.

I was disappointed by their tacos last night. The carne asada was terrible. Over cooked, and tasteless. (It was later in the evening 7pm)
The guacamole was fresh, but also lacking flavor.
The rice and beans did not disappoint. I do love their rice. Fluffy and just enough flavor.
I generally don’t like to leave negative reviews, but I do hope they can up their carne asada game, because I love their rice.

Stopped by Meson Del Taco Taco Express on Belmont and it was such a great experience! We tried the steak tacos, steak burrito, and steak tortas — and honestly, everything was delicious. The steak was flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly in each dish. Portions were generous, and every bite felt super fresh and satisfying.

I ordered 2 milanesa chicken tortas & there chicken was so old & stale! I couldn’t even bite the torta without the whole chicken cutlet slipping out! The meat was stale! & so rubbery! Definitely not fresh meat! It was the worst money I’ve spent on food. This place sucks. Definitely not authentic fresh mexican food.

The food was delicious – however it is not fair to charge us $9.99 for a small cup (about 1/4 cup) for guacamole…!? We did not notice until we were at home that they charged us that much for a tiny portion… rip off!!!
