This was the fish sandwich of my dreams. I was a tiny bit skeptical ordering it, but so very glad I did. Huge piece of fish, perfectly cooked and terrifically tasty. Highly recommend. Currently they are only at this location Mondays and Tuesdays, but get here if you can!

Fantastic food with hearty portions. I’ve never been great with math but I gotta figure if Jesus cooked he could only hope his smashed taters were this good. The burger was so juicy I had trouble making eye contact with my wife after I ate it. And the nachos were better than finding a twenty dollar bill on the floor of a Tijuana gentleman’s club. All in all I highly recommend this joint.

We were prepared to be a bit let down. I mean, it’s a window you order at in a sports bar, how good could it be? Apparently it can be way freaking better than it has any right to be.
Our party of three had the fried pickles, smashed spuds, smash burger with bacon, buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, and the pork tacos. Every one of these items was in the top 5 for its type if not the best we’ve had.
They have one type of taco on the menu, and it’s the best in town.
They make their own pretzel buns to cradle their perfectly fried chicken with house made pickles and a unique mustard and maple sauce.
Everything was perfect. We were truly blown away. We’ll be coming back… often.
As a bonus, the unassuming sports bar that contains this incredible culinary experience has a selection of local beers and old standbys that pair great with the food.

I came home to Maine for a week to visit family, stopped in at this food truck called the Salty Moose, I was greeted by Summer when I approached the window, awesome customer service and answered any questions I had regarding the food. And the food was amazing, big shout out to the chef Taylor! If you have time it’s definitely worth the stop.

The smash burger looked amazing, but two issues prevented me from fully enjoying it. The bun was toasted, but I would be inclined to call it burnt (it was black around the edges). My other complaint would be that the beef patty was a tad dry. I don’t know if the intention was to give it a charred taste, but it was hard to taste the flavor of the beef over the char.
I did think that the bun was delicious and quite innovative, and I definitely enjoyed the Thousand Island dressing as a condiment.
I also got a side of the tofu bites and they were quite good! A great alternative to french fries!

Ordered online was super easy and when I got there was able to just pick my food right up and head home. First of all the burger was incredible the smash burger was awesome the meat was super juicy (not greasy) with that nice flat top crust on the outside, and the toppings on the burger were all great as well nice shredded crisp lettuce and some really good pickles, the pretzel bun is way better than a normal burger bun because it actually holds together and doesn’t just fall apart. I also got the potato spuds which were great too super simple but delicious way better than having french frys. Over all I would say this is hands down the best burger in the area to be honest the only burger that I’ve had to compare this to is rockys in san diego. So don’t waste your money on going to five guys or something like that go to the salty moose it’s way better. And prices are very reasonable.

You will not be disappointed. The food from the Salty Moose is absolutely delicious. Everything is cooked to perfection, expertly seasoned and super fresh. We had the smashed burgers last weekend and they were fantastic. Loads of great flavors between the beef, bacon, onions, mushrooms and the absolutely scrumptious boursin cheese and mustard topping. The pretzel bun is amazing.
