People say this spot has some of the best fast food fried chicken. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their 4 piece meal with half fried and roasted chicken, beans, plantains, and tortillas. Yall know im a bean fiend and these beans were smooth, savory, and flavorful. The plantains were sweet, soft, caramalized, and a bit tart? Not really for me. The roasted chicken was super savory, flavorful, juicy, and actually really yummy. The fried chicken was perfectly crispity crunchy and just as flavorful and juicy. Pro tip is to make a taco using the corn tortilla with all the yummy ingredients. This place is actually pretty good.

1st of all girl in the drive through was super deaf i thought maybe their speaker was bad but even face to face in the drive through she couldn’t hear anything … also she didn’t mention a price difference in piece selection at all and had to change my order and also got fried chicken instead grilled which wasn’t the description. I’m so grateful that Pollo Campero opened a new location so close to my home! My family has been enjoying this restaurant for as long as I can remember. My mom has loved Pollo Campero since she was younger — even when eating out wasn’t something she could often afford, she always chose this place as her special treat once a year.
Because the nearest locations used to be pretty far, we didn’t get to go as often. So having one nearby now feels really special for both of us. We went on opening day and were among the first in the drive-thru, and it was such a great experience! The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious — 10/10!
We’re already planning to go back every weekend. I can’t wait to eat inside next time and enjoy my meal in the restaurant. Welcome to the neighborhood, Pollo Campero!

Staff is friendly. That’s all the positive I can say. They never have roasted chicken 3 of the 4 last time. We we’re pretty much forced to get the fried chicken. & when we ate it, it was cold. Rice and beans have no flavor. Was super excited to see one in El monte but has been nothing but a disappointment. Might be the last time I come & eat at this one.

So this place recently opened, I’ve been asking my friends how their chicken is I’ve never tried it and I love chicken fried chicken, I finally had a chance to walk in place is really clean parking lot is so clean I mean it’s still a new place, I walked in there was nobody at the counter at 6:15 in the evening I caught eyes with a young man working in the kitchen and I said hello and he didn’t answer back then a small blonde walked by me looked at me and I patiently waited to ask me if I wanted to order she also didn’t stop to talk she headed back to the drive-through window there was another woman in the drive-thru window working and they both started chatting as I still stood waiting to place my order, the short blonde finally walked past the front counter after she finished a conversation with the girl at the drive-thru window this time she looked directly at me and said hello and I asked her I would like to place an order and she turned around and asked the girl at the drive-thru window who is working the register and the drive-thru window girl says oh she’s on lunch break??? The short blonde then said oh okay we’ll get somebody to take your order, I had already been waiting at least 5 minutes patiently and now I had to wait even more time. I’ll try another location and see what I get there, always keep somebody behind the counter I was anxiously wanting to try your chicken, customer service bad, I don’t know how good your chicken is but I will try it somewhere else. Also tell your employees to respectfully say hello to everyone. Especially when a hello is given.

But out of my 4 total large takeouts ($150+ each) all 4 were missing items. Like Drinks, sauces, sides.
Bags come sealed so not like I can check till I get home.
Today they forgot my Cole slaw and 2 flans. Very frustrating. Please check the orders thoroughly. I wasn’t even going to say something if it didnt happen every single time.

Ordered through drive through. They didn’t give me my order of fries and literally didn’t give me the second bun to my chicken sandwich. SMH I will not be going back .

They didnt have any roasted chicken so I ordered the nuggets with yucca fries and beans. It was cold and dry and tasted like leftovers.
Empanada was good though but still not warm.
I won’t be returning. El pollo loco is better.

There is no need for that oversized parking lot. Haven’t seen it near filled. Halfway filled, at best.
I’ve noticed this is a trend for newly built corpo establishments in this city. We don’t need more suburban sprawl, especially for the amount of people. But maybe that’s the plan, to make people leave in room for gentrification.
The drive-through is also built in the most inconvenient way possible, who half-heartedly designed this, and who approved this poorly made and built design.
Also, the food is bad.
