This cafe is a little bit off the beaten path from downtown Chicago, but it’s so beautiful that it’s totally worth the trip! The atmosphere and decor are amazing. The latte is great, and the breakfast sandwiches we ordered came out really fast! Everything was delicious. I loved it!

Amazing decor and ambiance along side high quality cakes, pastries, and some hot dishes.
Service was nice and they do bus things out to your table. During the weekends they do have a ban on laptops which is nice to see.

We took the Red Line from Chinatown, and it was a short 2 min walk from the nearest stop to the cafe. We arrived close to 10:30am on a Friday, and was lucky enough to snag a table. There was mostly high tops and a couch that was still unoccupied. It was beautiful inside. I loved the whole vibe and layout of the cafe. I loved all the mirrors placed around the cafe. I ordered a vanilla matcha earl grey tea. The breakfast sandwich was simple, nothing too special. Fresh drip coffee was fresh and good. We stayed close to an hour. The cafe had plenty of foot traffic.

This is such a beautiful coffee shop! I’ve been wanting to get over here for so long, but I’m glad my first visit was during the holidays. The decorations are beautiful and really lend to the ambiance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even when my 3 year old granddaughter spilled some of her smoothie. Plus, they have decaf espresso beans! (Which not every independent shop has.) I’ll definitely be back.

Got a hot chocolate. It was good; it had a bit of salt to counter the sweetness it seemed. Could have been more chocolately to suit my tastes, but it was very creamy. I could see some people really loving it. I liked it but didn’t love it.
The interior is so gorgeous. I love the themeing. The staff are kind and prompt as well as helpful.

Delightful! In my opinion, we need more of these aesthetically pleasing Old World cafes. I placed my order at the counter, was handed my number, snagged a seat by the window & basked in the ambiance of this lovely space in a historic neighborhood. I had the chipotle sausage & egg on a croissant sandwich with a cortado, for just under $20. No complaints. The food came out fast, warm & tasty. Turns out the “chipotle” component was a messy mayo that elevated the usual breakfast sandwich. Definitely worth the trip.

The inside is beautifully decorated and has a nice aesthetic, but other than that it was just ok. The matcha and iced coffee were very milk heavy, not my favorite coffee in the city. The sandwiches (chipotle lunch and breakfast sandwich) were ok, you could tell that they use frozen chicken and sausage patties. It would be fine, but for the price point, not worth it in my opinion.

Such a cute atmosphere, like walking into a lush 1800s cafe! And delicious coffee, I loved my iced white mocha. I visited on a summer weekend afternoon, so it was very crowded, but other times you can get seating. (Not a place for computer work or for large groups.)

Very beautiful place and great pastries! I visited this cafe around noon and it was so busy here, but their service was still wonderful. It was quick and the drink’s pattern looked good! A worker got us a chair to sit from other table, and it was so nice!

Place is small. You have to fight for a table as they dont have a host to seat you. You place your order at the counter from a very limited menu. Disappointing as the menu is short they cant make a decent tuna melt. It was bad. The other sandwich as good. Cold drinks other than coffee and milk base products were very limited also. Social media failed again. Dont waste your time and money visiting this place. Chicago has lots to offer that this place shouldn’t make your list.
