I want to share a recent experience that made me uncomfortable. I was sitting quietly working on my laptop when an employee approached me and stated that this location has a store-wide policy requiring customers to make a purchase in order to sit inside. I am a semi regular customer and I always buy from Starbucks when I work from my laptop there. That’s the reason why I go there instead of the library.
What concerned me was the inconsistency. While I was there, I observed a regular customer enter and sit down without ordering, and no one approached him. I also watched another customer come in. She sat down head down on her phone for more than 15 minutes, she was not approached either. I was the only person spoken to about this policy.
If this is truly a store-wide rule, it should be enforced consistently and communicated clearly, preferably with signage. Selective enforcement creates confusion and puts customers in an uncomfortable position.
I understand the need for store rules, but fairness and transparency matter.
So why did they only target me?

Jasmine is so incredibly rude every time I go to this location. She is the only employee in the whole building that doesn’t “welcome” people when they walk through the door.. not a big deal.. but every time I order at the speaker, she can never get my drink order correct. When you walk inside, she’s always hiding in the corner on her phone, if she’s not busy trying hit on every person with a ding a ling.. she is so unprofessional and will tell you that you are not welcomed back to this location if you simply ask for the drink that you ordered to be corrected.

Thankfully, I got inside this Starbucks location in Farmville VA about seven minutes prior to closing time. All the staff people were very friendly towards me, and I appreciate being able to order a decaf Americano to go just in time!Since my gift card was registered online to accrue points, the staff person who helped me even used my first name to announce my order was ready. I happened to be the final customer for this evening. This store was very clean, and the decaf was delicious!

I absolutely adore this store and their staff. We are in town for my sisters wedding and we ordered DoorDash for wedding morning coffees and it never showed up so running late and no coffee, the staff got us straight and decorated my sisters cup with bride and love ❤️ they were so kind and understanding while getting us back on track !

I don’t leave reviews on Starbucks often, bc the service is usually amazing and the beverages are usually very good. But this one in Farmville always seems to be mediocre. The drinks are always wrong. We ordered a coffee “the same coffee order at every Starbucks”. And the pike blend was watered down. We asked politely about it, and the lady says with extra cream it’s bound to be like that. Ignorant.
Then we’re like noo….we ordered this all the time and it’s not like water. She offers to make a new one and we suggest we’d just pay for a shot of espresso to add.. Okay fine. We get the espresso, and we’re pouring it into the new cup. This lady has the nerve to open the window and say can they help us with anything because they can’t have us sitting in the drive through as they’re timed with each car(with no one behind us by the way). As we’re pouring the coffee into the cup to fix the mistake that you’re hired to do… .
I chuckle (tell me another lie) and say don’t worry then drive off.
Terrible customer service. Get a new job.

I definitely think this Starbucks should have a much higher rating. It’s always very clean, the bathrooms don’t have code locks on them, they still have comfortable chairs, and the staff are so awesome here. It’s a great pit stop when I head towards Lynchburg.

It’s refreshing to have a Starbucks that’s not completely packed when you enter. The lobby was clean. The reason for the mediocre rating was both bathrooms did not have toilet paper and remain that way until we left about an hour later.
