Who is keeping this restaurant in business? Please tell me who?! I went there for the very first time in my life after hearing about it for years. It wasn’t busy, just a couple of vehicles ahead of me who had already been there. The female employee came out and took my order. She was actually nice. I was surprised bc I had prepped myself for this alleged mean woman I read about in the reviews prior to going. I ordered a wing dinner, hamburger and sweet potato pie. She asked me did I want everything on the hamburger like it was gonna be the best in the world. They told me there would be a 15 min wait bc of the chicken, I was fine with that. I waited. The female worker brought my order, I grabbed it, the pie and burger fell on the ground. I realized if she had tied the bag properly that wouldn’t have happened. The burger was fine bc it was paper bagged and wrapped. The pie not so much. She helped me retrieve the items from the ground but told me the pie prob isn’t edible then quickly went back inside. I waited bc I thought she was gonna bring me another slice, she came out with nothing and asked was I ok. I replied yes and just left. I looked at the food. The chicken were these little flimsy floured fried wings, just anemic looking. A toasted bread that didn’t look toasted all the way that looked like the end bread. I will say the fries were good, but that’s it. The burger was abysmal. It was so sloppily thrown together, burnt toasted bun, patty with shredded lettuce, mayo and bits of tomato sloppily glopped on top of the bottom bun. That’s the burger she asked about earlier like it was gonna be world class. I ate everything, everything tasted a low ok but the presentation was abysmal and I woke up feeling kind of sick after eating it. Overall this was a NO. I can’t believe after hearing about this place for years and years this is the best they’ve given the customers. I should’ve lowered my expectations. I won’t be returning ever again. I’m in awe they’re still in business. P.S. That chicken needs a new recipe. All these years and haven’t perfected a recipe that would make someone like me come back. Flour wrong, lack of seasoning and presentation. Kelly’s and Murphy’s which are/were similar to this place have/had way better recipes than this place.Chicken looked better too. The stars given are primarily bc the employees were nice, which is wild after reading the opposite. I wonder how it is when they have a big crowd.

This place is a stable in the neighborhood or should I say use to be. I use to go all the time in my highschool days and my grandmother still loves this place however the worst customer service ever. The lady that took the order was very rude. Frist of all I didn’t know they are a cash only establishment. In a paperless society that was unexpected no signs posted stating such. I went thru the Drive thru the lady who took our order had a chip on her shoulder after placing my order I handed her my debit card she so rudely said “,CASH ONLY” as I looked down to retrieve what cash I had she walks away to the next car saying nothing to me. Everything in me said leave but I was blocked in once she was walking back to go inside I said ma’am how much was it she rudely repeated the price grabbed my money and walked away. OMG I was raised to say please and thank you and your welcome although I kept my upbringing she said NOTHING she pushed the food in the window and motioned for me to get my change after all that the food taste nothing like the good ole days no seasoning what so ever. After that horrible customer service trust I will never go back. I will not be rudely treated for any food no matter the taste. Nesby’s you need to do better with your staff and season your food no one deserves to be treated badly when supporting your business.

Expected home fried fish, fried with meal coating. Got flour coated. Too much mustard in potato salad. Loved lettuce & tomatoes, but there was no dressing. Hot fish is good but it withered the salad. Service was excellent and thoughtful Will try their seafood platter next.

I ordered a double shrimp dinner and the only thing I got was double priced! Wish I could add a photo cause the half spoon of potatoe salad was delicious and the toss salad with no dressing was great!

Order 2 Seafood Platters. Took a few bites off of each item. Didn’t care for the old grease taste. My sister went home and ate her platter, I threw mine away. No CONDIMENTS AVAILABLE. No ranch for my salad, No hot sauce for fish. No tauter sauce for shrimp. Its a NO for me.
