I had lunch today with 2 friends. I ate the most delicious chicken and waffle I have ever eaten. The flavors were perfect. It was easy to see that the chicken was prepared on premises not dry, just right! Even though they are a 45 minute drive I am going back for the pastries next time.

most likely won’t be back after my first experience! came in at about 11am on a sunday. 2 people in front of me in line on the bakery side. waited over 10 minutes until someone took the first persons order. by that point, my daughter who is special needs, was starting to become upset over the waiting time & not getting a treat. at 11:14am after not moving in line, we left.
we were not greeted/welcomed when we came in either. not a very good experience for someone’s first time visiting this place after hearing how good their items are.

Super cute dining experience. CoHatch hosts several different food options within the same building. It was our first experience, and I look forward for our return.
We had a wonderful breakfast delivered with fantastic service topped with a delicious coffee. What a gem. I would most definitely recommend. They do make everything fresh to order, so patience is necessary…. this isn’t McDonald’s ♡♡♡

Was headed East towards Columbus on a sunny Saturday morning and planned a stop at Ironworks for some delicious Chicken & Waffles. Located inside the Market downtown Springfield, parking wasn’t too bad, numerous vendors, and the lively atmosphere makes for a good vibe
Upon entering the main hall it’s an open food court concept where you seat yourself and choose from all kinds of venues, but I came for the Chicken & Waffles and they did not disappoint!
The Chicken was flavorful, crunchy, yet tender on the inside. The Waffles were fluffy and light which quickly absorbed the delicious Bourbon Maple syrup. Great mix that was all washed down with a wheat beer and some Blantons, yes, Blantons (IYKYK)! There is a full bar inside the hall which completed the meal before he headed out to Columbus!
Overall, highly recommend for the options, atmosphere, and obviously good food!

Went to the cohatch for breakfast. Ordered a breakfast from Ironworks waffles. We got a couple of lattes to drink. They tasted very smooth and delicious. They did a good job on the drinks. The people running the cafe’ are super helpful and when we wanted to share a breakfast they split it on two plates for us. We got the waffle with egg, bacon, and cheese on a nice waffle. The waffle was mildly sweet and fluffy. It was a bit bland and needed some salt but not bad at all. Bacon and egg was cooked perfectly. We also got a hash brown. They gave us ketchup without asking. So nice. The potato was crispy and not greasy at all. Pretty good. I will be back to try some other waffles and definitely a waffle desert. The place cafe and dining area was nice and clean. Outdoor dinning tables could use some shade but are comfortable.

We visited while checking out the Springfield farmers market and we were not disappointed! Although we waited about 15 minutes to order, the line moved quickly and the food was so good, it justified the longish wait! The waffle sandwich was great and I recommend substitutions the hash brown for fruit because the fruit was soooo good and refreshing!

Decided to check this bakery out as I seen it in a Springfield tourist book I picked up at an Ohio rest area. Got there a little late on a Saturday and the girl said a lot of stuff was already gone. With the more limited selection went with a Almond croissant. It was good, but with a small amount of frosting. It was worth checking out and trying, but not sure the croissant was worth $4.25.

This bakery and sandwich shop is in downtown Springfield and you won’t believe the fresh croissants, donuts, cookies and other treats baked fresh daily! Friends meet up here for coffee and waffle & fried chicken sandwiches… you have to go!

The service was great! They patiently answered all my first-timer questions. I got the September special (Apple Pie Waffle for $9) and could not have loved it more. My niece got the PB&J (Lenski Waffle for $7.50) and was very happy with it. The CoHatch building is super cute and when we went (9:45am Saturday morning during a Farmer’s Market) still had plenty of seating inside and out. Highly recommend!

Fantastic waffles, sweet or savory. I got the Buffalo Springfield and the side of fruit. The fruit was fresh berries rather than the melon I was expecting when I order this elsewhere. The maple syrup is also the genuine article. Absolutely fantastic food and quality!!
