I never write reviews, but I just had to for this one. A lot of people have bad things to say about the Jena sonic, but I am not one of them. I know I must look huge coming in between 6 and 8 in the morning to get a cheeseburger and tater tots, but the lady who opens the store every morning (I believe she might be the store manager) is always friendly and always able to get my order out in 5mins flat. I never have any errors with my order and it’s always hot and fresh. Sonic is the one place in town that I can get off work from my graveyard shift at 7am and get something that feels like a supper, if I just don’t feel like going home to cook or I feel like treating myself. I tend to be a little bashful about wanting lunch/dinner food in the early morning, but I will never get tired of a 6am bacon cheeseburger and tater tots, and this lady is OUTSTANDING at making me not feel bad for asking them to make me one It’s gotten to the point that I won’t even go if it’s not morning time because I know this lady will be there in the morning and hook me up nice.

Sonic in Jena, Louisiana has some really good food, and when they are on top of things, the service can be quick and friendly. I enjoy the drinks and the variety on the menu, and sometimes the orders come out fast and correct. However, there are times when the service is slow, especially during busy hours. Sometimes it seems like the staff may not be fully trained yet, orders can take longer than expected or get mixed up. i think with better organization and stronger management, this location can improve a lot. Overall, its a good place with potential, but consistency and leadership could make a big difference.

This location needs a new manager. The food is awful. Every time I get a hot dog, the bun is stale. The tots always taste old. And how hard is it to stick to a certain measurement when you make tea? One day you’ll get enough sugar to go into a coma and the next day, you question if it’s unsweetened. And the service is awful. It’s drive through only and then you wait 5-10 minutes for someone to answer you. And stop hiring these teenagers who don’t want to work! And to the manager who’s going to comment on this to call corporate, I’m one step ahead of you…

First I had to sit in line 10 min. Before anyone said anything to me. Then I had to wait in line 20min for one smash burger. The burger wasn’t a smash burger it was two and a half regular patties and a drop of sauce on the buns. They added so much salt I couldn’t eat the burger. Just nasty. I will never eat there again.

Only drive through most of the time; especially evenings. Only mobile orders at the stalls. Yet, there is little to no signage to direct customers when this occurs. Mobile app is often down. We’ve waited at stalls multiple times only to be directed back to the drive through line.
