I was skeptical because the place was small and the menu was limited. But the food was truly excellent with quality ingredients and lots of love. This is like a having a home cooked meal cooked by someone that really knows what they are doing. The place is super cute as well. What a wonderful surprise!

When we asked for a lunch recommendation, we were told that Carrizozo Cafe was the best place in town. It is a cute little restaurant (seats maybe 10) that feels like home and has very friendly staff – added a star for this reason! The burger was good but the fries were made from frozen store bought fries and portions were (for the US) small. Good place to stop for a quick bite.

If you like over cooked and NO seasoning. This place is for you. This place sucks. Takes them an hour to make a burger and fries. It takes them that long to cook all the flavor out. All those good reviews are from when the fat guy ran this place. He’s gone and so are the high standards. Yuck. Learn to cook rite and quit ripping people off!!!!!

This homey little place offers the most delicious food. I highly recommend the pork barbecue sandwich or the fish and shrimp. The owners are the nicest people on Earth and locals hang out get for a reason. Always great conversation to be had here.

Food was fantastic, chicken tenders were hand battered and tasted delicious. The gravy was piping hot and the service was five star. A small quaint cafe in Carrizozo well worth the trip.

Nice lunch. Driving from Santa Fe to Alamogordo after doing the musical highway (route 66), we were beginning to think we would never find food. This is where you want to eat. Fast, friendly, quality food. Real folks.

Great food, large helpings, reasonable prices and wonderful owners. Home style cooking. Outdoor grilling in the summer. Don’t miss this stop when in Carrizozo.
