Found this place on accident while cutting through the parking lot. The owner was very friendly, I mean I just ran in to get a menu and the owner insisted that I try the fish at no charge!! It was a full piece, ( not a small portion) and a hush puppy, not many fish places do that. Usually, you try when you buy it!
The owner even gave my 9yr old son a sample and some ice cream.The fish is very fresh, moist and spice level is wonderful. I went back the next week, got a family order and every one loved the fish and hush puppies. After trying many different fish places, we’ve finally found the right one.

The owner and chef was awesome and the fish is delicious. He allowed me to try a fillet with no cost! Of course I ate it! Devoured is a better word lol!!! He is awesome, sweet, and the food is amazing! The shrimp is sooo good!!!

I USE to pass this place up all the time for lunch and always wondered what it is. “Best fish in the Galaxy” is their slogan.. I do have to say they do make some really “damn good” fish and shrimp. I ordered the #40 with coleslaw. the slaw is ok just not what you normally expect, its mixed with the mayonnaise (not sure what is in coleslaw besides cabbage) when you order it and its not small chunks of slaw its larger strips almost like a salad. BUT MAN! that fish is pretty good I will definitely be going back for round two. The people that work there I assume are “together” but they are good people for sure very generous and nice. they almost season the fish with a sriracha kind of flavor and the batter they use is very good. the batter is nice a crunchy the fish is flaky and the shrimp is the same. Would very much suggest the fish/shrimp maybe not the coleslaw, but ill try the fries or hushpuppies next time. Not a bad price for fish!

Let me preface this with how awful of a day I have been having today. I have dysthymia so from time to time, I get REALLY gloomy. THIS RESTAURANT SAVED ME.
Met Mr.BFFG and I haven’t had such amazing service in a long time. His food is amazing. The quantity per price is great. The quality definitely earned a high rating in the Galaxy. If you want food that will surprise you every time and someone to brighten up your day, this is the place.

This guy is real and is about as real as it gets. I wish more mom and pop restaurants were as good and as entertaining as this. Mr. BFFG is truly one of the most legendary figures in the history of man and his character and class could easily be mistaken for one of the “Twelve Apostles.”
Oh and the fish and shrimp were AWESOME!

I had previously written an exemplary review for Fish’Tales, but after my most recent experience, I had to make sure to remove it. After the most horrid customer service and some embarrassingly bad crawfish, they don’t deserve any kind words that I’ve offered in the past.
My order over the phone seemed well received and the owner seemed to be very accommodating.
“Six bacon wrapped shrimp, a large order of fried rice, 2 pounds of cajun crawfish medium spicy, 3 pounds of garlic butter crawfish medium spicy, 9 fried oysters with a side of fried rice, and 9 fried oysters with french fries, and 3 sides of butter,” I said, placing my order for delivery. After everything was repeated back, I told him my address, explaining thoroughly that my house was down the street and not to confuse my address with a couple other similar ones located in Houston.
Almost an HOUR AND A HALF later (mind you they are less than 5 minutes away from me), the food arrived. The driver’s reason was that the GPS took her into Houston to a similar address – seriously? I was more hungry than angry, so we busted out the food to discover the following mistakes:
1. They brought a small side of fried rice and charged us for a large $7 entree portion.
2. The crawfish were TERRIBLE – overcooked, flavorless, and room temperature. My cajun had zero seasoning, and the bland garlic butter crawfish had no garlic or butter.
3. They forgot to include the potatoes and corn that come with the crawfish.
4. They didn’t bring the sides of butter.
After trying to explain my situation to the owner, he offered me a credit for the large fried rice and 5 pounds of crawfish. The crawfish were disgusting and several tasted rotten. I actually SPIT my first crawfish out. He even went as far as trying the crawfish and saying it was “excellent.” *Gag* I tried to explain that I had been a frequent supporter of their business since they’d opened, and that a credit wouldn’t suffice for inedible food. A credit for an incorrect charge? You’ve got to be kidding me. After insulting me by trying the “excellent” crawfish over the phone, and after the 5th time that he offered a credit instead of a refund, I couldn’t help but raise my voice. Eventually I told him that he could keep the credit in his system, but I would not be giving them my business in the future. His response was very rude, repeating, “Okay okay, yeah, that’s fine.” I have never had to raise my voice the way I did with the owner of this establishment. I’m sure in due time that Fish’Tales will join the ranks of the fallen restaurants that have occupied the same spot.
