Was already sketched out that this place was almost empty during dinner time. Ordered $100 worth of food. I couldn’t taste a single flavor in the food but a blast of extremely spicy mala and chilis in my mouth. Everything had no flavor. I had been to 7-8 chinese bbq skewer places and this was the only place that got no value. Absolute worst. $100 bill worth $20 at the very most.
I ordered my chicken wings mild and they came to me extremely spicy. They finally agreed to replace it but they didn’t even replace the full portion. The one I took a bite on wasn’t replaced.
I put 1/5 score for service because they also added $8 on top of my bill without my permission and I noticed as I checked my credit card statement and it felt like I got scammed. Easily the worst restaurant experience I had this whole year.

The beef and lamb skewers were very tender, but one potato skewer was undercooked, and only two eggplant skewers were served (out of three). We complained to the server, but there was no follow-up. The restaurant was clearly understaffed; we waited a long time for a server to serve us the bill…

I came here today with a friend after seeing a friend’s recommendation. We ordered the secret-recipe chicken tips, Sichuan-style boiled chicken, rice noodles, and barbecue. The waiter told us the minimum order for the boiled chicken was 15 skewers, but they brought out 13 and then said they were out of stock. We didn’t have to pay, but then we saw two large tables next to us getting bowls of food served one after another; they seemed to be the owner’s friends. After we ordered, there were no plates, no bowls, no chopsticks, and they only gave us half a cup of water. How can a new restaurant serve customers like this? Should I tip? Will I come again?

These skewers don’t look like they were grilled over charcoal. They taste better than Northeastern barbecue, which is understandable since it’s run by Sichuanese people. However, not a single skewer shows any signs of charcoal grilling. I don’t believe the chef’s skill is so good that the skewers are completely free of charcoal marks. They felt very greasy after eating. I really want to eat Chengdu-style charcoal barbecue.

Having lived in Los Angeles for years, I honestly haven’t had such authentic Sichuan-style grilled skewers. Taking a bite brought tears to my eyes; it felt like being back in Chengdu in an instant. Highly recommended!

I think this restaurant is really authentic. The grilled skewers have a special Sichuan local flavor! They have my favorite duck tongues and chicken wings! Help, there are really few places that have such barbecue flavor! I recommend trying it.
