The Caesar salad would have been better with a vegan Caesar dressing instead of a vinaigrette. And there wasn’t much in the way of plant based protein on the menu, so we enjoyed these dishes as appetizers before going somewhere else for more food.
Service was quick and friendly.
We appreciated the upscale ambiance with vegan options, and would definitely go back again.
We had the turnip tartar and would prefer that over tuna tartar if we could ever find it again! We also had the cioppino, the short rib, and the mayonnaise cake. Nothing disappointed.
We love that they change the menu every season, so when we go back, we’ll make reservations early and try their new creations!
While I understand the importance of reservations for fine dining establishments, the experience was frustrating due to the lack of transparency. From a guest’s perspective, it was unclear why availability appeared open but was not actually accessible.
Clearer communication—such as explicitly stating that walk-ins are not accommodated regardless of visible seating—would help set expectations and avoid disappointment, especially for guests who have traveled a long way.
We respect the restaurant’s policies, but hospitality also includes clarity and consideration for guests’ time and effort. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend making a reservation well in advance and confirming policies directly before travel.
I’m so excited to have a solid restaurant in Mammoth serving high quality food at reasonable prices. You can really taste the love in the food. The setting is casual but that adds to the charm. We can’t wait to go back.
