The hostess at the reception of MO Lounge was exceptionally kind and welcoming. She spoke both Spanish and English, which was wonderful and very helpful for us. She seated us at an excellent table with a beautiful view.
We ordered the continental breakfast, which I highly recommend. Our server, Tereza, was very attentive to our requests and provided outstanding service.
The atmosphere was incredible, the food was exquisite, and the view was truly unique.
I went with my best friend, and we had an amazing time. I would definitely recommend this place

I would definitely ask for a window seat because the view is exceptional! The staff is kind and friendly! They go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Celebrated my boyfriend’s 30th birthday at MO Lounge inside the Mandarin Oriental on the 35th floor, and the whole experience felt incredibly luxurious truly a “billionaire vibe” kind of night. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in.
We ordered the ribs and the chicken sandwich, and the ribs were the star of the night super tender and packed with flavor. The cocktails were excellent too. We were served complimentary nuts and olives, and the cheesecake dessert plus two peppermint teas were gifted to us, which made the celebration feel even more special. My boyfriend was genuinely so happy.
The space is beautiful, but just a heads-up: the food is on the pricier side, which is expected for a place like this. My only disappointment was the view situation. I specifically chose MO Lounge for the Central Park view, but since we went at night, it was too dark to see anything. We also didn’t get a window seat, which took away from the experience a bit.
Still, the service, food, and overall atmosphere made it a memorable birthday celebration, and it’s definitely a spot worth visiting for a special occasion.

Went here for afternoon tea around the holidays, so there was a Santa meet and greet with Polaroid pics and thought that was nice. The decor was definitely extravagant and very well done and the view overlooking Columbus circle was great!
The food on the other hand, it was good, but I wouldn’t say it was amazing. And for how much they were charging their afternoon tea per person, I was definitely expecting amazing, but it wasn’t. Their tea was good so I guess there’s that, but was it a $150+ tea? I think not.
Service was alright, they checked up on us maybe like three times. Asked if we wanted a refill on our teas but I wasn’t finished with my first pot so I said maybe a little bit later but no one ever came back before we had asked for the bill so no refill for me.
Overall, I would say you are paying for the view and not the actual food so if you don’t care that your food tastes amazing for the price you’re paying and just mainly want to see the great view of NYC from above, then I guess by all means pay that much money for it. For me on the other hand, I will not be coming back. I also wished I hadn’t come in the first place but I heard nice things about their afternoon tea and have been wanting to try it, guess they were wrong lol. It was definitely a splurge and one that was not worth the money and I definitely did not enjoy spending.

I had a wonderful experience at the Mandarin Oriental Lounge in Columbus Circle. The location alone makes it worth a visit — the view overlooking Central Park is absolutely breathtaking, especially with the backdrop of New York’s high-rise buildings. We found the space and views to be very nice. But the atmosphere was loud, hard to converse, loud pop music, not the vibe we were expecting at all. Service was good, not 5-star but very good, attentive. Tea was plentiful. Food was a mixed bag. Scones were outstanding, but given just a tiny bit of clotted cream and jam for four people to have with two scones each. We should have each had a clotted cream and a jam. The sandwiches were good, but had been sitting out, the bread on the end ones was not soft and fresh, but in the middle ones where air not getting to them, it was soft on the sides. The desserts ranged from very good for lychee and strawberry to ok for a cake that I believe was almond flavored. The pistachio one was good, but did not taste like pistachios. All in all, mostly enjoyable, but was expecting close to perfection at that price point ($130 pp).

We started a friend’s birthday night at the MO Lounge with a group of six, and the experience was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed champagne and light bites that were absolutely delicious, all while taking in the stunning city views. Our server, Luz, was warm and attentive, made us feel very comfortable, and provided outstanding service throughout the evening. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and experience made it well worth it, and I would highly recommend stopping in even just for drinks to enjoy the beautiful setting.Will definitely be back!

This is just a very overpriced “hotel” restaurant, with mediocre food, a complete lack of coordination between the kitchen and the (disappearing) service staff, and lots of managers standing around. We got our main twenty minutes before the appetizer and it got worse from there. The atmosphere is upscale Marriott, especially the chairs. The hamachi was decent but the shrimp bland and the chicken katsu very thin.
