After a long day at work, didn’t feel like cooking so tried DoorDash and came across this place with 4.5 starts so I said why not. The 2 stars is because the oxtails did taste good.
Food arrived not sealed properly and the rice was mushy since they dumped the oxtails sauce right in top of it. Also ordered spicy wings and not sure what they sent me bc it definitely doesn’t look like wings and I wasn’t about to taste it
Needless to say I’m so disappointed and $37 broker ughhh

My order consisted of a medium jerk chicken plate, a medium chicken soup and a beef patty with cocoa bread and cheese. The food was mid at best to me before ordering I asked was the jerk chicken grilled. She said yes it was not it was baked in the oven and a little dried out to me the rice and beans was ok the mixed veggies consisted of green beans carrots and onions those was good. The medium chicken soup had a decent flavor but it was all potato carrots and chicken bones with no actual chicken. The beef patty cocoa bread and cheese was the star of the show the patty was flaky and crispy and the beef inside was well seasoned the cocoa bread was fresh fluffy and soft. I will give them another try to see what the other dishes are like. The restaurant itself was clean and looked well organized behind the counter

Mmmmmmmmm! First time visiting today and the patty with coco bread and cheese was soooooo goooood!!
I bought it at 10 in the morning. Lol I was passing through Brockton and decided to check them out and I’m so glad I did! Delicious for breakfast! lol

Just moved to Brockton a couple of months ago. So glad I found this place now I don’t have to head into Boston to get my Jamaican breakfast. First time visiting got the saltfish and callaloo, with dumplings. Can’t wait to try them for dinner.

Food was good but I paid almost 30 dollars and got 3 mostly BONE oxtails….I’ve definitely been to other restaurants that have similar pricing and double the portions 🙁

The Mac and cheese is not tasty small portion for the price and kind of hard and tough like a brick the sweet and spicy wings are average price and size for being able to buy them as singles both of those items are not as good as Flames in Randolph but are about the same price. Mostly disappointed in the “fried” snapper. The snapper was spicy but no real sauce or flavor it is mostly just hot spices and no crisp so it doesn’t seem fried at all. The vegetables were barely cooked. The rice was moist but again no real flavor. I tried to find another tasty place to get snapper besides Las Vegas in Hyde Park which is mostly always delicious because of their different creole sauces and great black rice. I gave Hartley a 3 because the rice and snapper was a good size and the sweet and spicy wings were cooked well

This is the third time getting my DoorDash order wrong. I told myself stop wasting money on this establishment but I tried again. This time they gave me what they wanted not what I ordered. Then tells me there’s no more salt fish. That should’ve been sent in a message so I could cancel. I promise I will NEVER order from here again!

Initially intended to visit only one Jamaican restaurant but decided to try this one instead as I passed by it. The service was ok, lady behind the counter was very pleasant and smiling throughout the entire visit. However, the food is everything but great and mediocre at best. Got a small fried chicken (1 single piece) with rice and cabbage all for $14. Chicken was extremely dry and unappetizing I had to throw it away in the trash. Also got a small steak for my wife at $15.99. Came with rice and cabbage as well with one single small piece of steak that could have been seasoned a bit more. Price doesn’t reflect the quality or quantity of food. Because of this my experience has been tainted and for this reason I will not return nor recommend anyone try this place especially if you’re hungry.

Driving when my husband spotted this place yesterday morning so we decided after a long day to try it out. On the way in I saw a customer coming out and I asked how is it? It turned out it was a family member who assured me I would not be disappointed. She was right I tried the Calaloo rice for the first time and I’m usually not adventurous with my food when I’m hungry. It was really fond not salty or bland. That with cabbage plantains and stew chicken. I also got a patty, loved the crunch I hate doughy patties. I wasn’t disappointed and look forward to returning. I’ve been to all the Jamaican restaurants around I try to support them all and it’s the best so far.
