First time here. Been to the other Ally’s Bistro location in Menomonee Falls, which is a nice spot, but I like this one more. It’s the old Power House station for Wauwatosa and was renovated in 2020. It’s a beautiful building with brick walls, high ceilings, and classic looking doors and windows. There are a couple of other businesses that reside in this space.
Came for breakfast with my brother. There were several other small groups there. The ordering counter is just inside the entrance. There are a couple of difficult areas to sit, and plenty of space between the tables, high tops, bar, and counters. The noise level was quiet, so perfect for having casual conversations.
We got a couple of hot beverages, and they did a great job with my London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra foam), in a heavy mug. For food, he got a Pat’s Scramble and the Mikey’s French Toast. It didn’t take long to get our food; hot, good flavors, and nice portions. The French Toast has this crispy coating (crushed corn flakes? I should have asked?), and it’s grilled to perfection. The berries and whipped cream made it seem like a dessert. So good!
The entire time we got terrific service from the staff that brought the drinks, the food, and cleared our plates. Very friendly and attentive the entire time.
Would definitely come back again!

We held our holiday at Ally’s Powerhouse in Wauwatosa and couldn’t have been more impressed. Amazing staff, service, food and drinks! Beyond our expectations!!! The venue was decorated perfectly. This is a cafe that feels like a restaurant and bar. It’s a really unique vibe that works well. Atmosphere is nice. It’s clean. Definitely a bit of a younger crowd. It’s kind of handicap accessible – there’s a chair lift to the lower sitting area but not to the far back space. The food was pretty good. The long way home wrap was phenomenal. The crispy french toast is interesting – it’s definitely crispy. The hash browns are crispy, not too seasoned, and we’re really good. The fruit was fresh. The service was good – they delivered food timely, we were greeted immediately come in. They waitresses are polite, thorough, and very helpful. This was a nice little find, we were not expecting it to be here.

Being our 1st time visiting. We were greeted with warmth. Nice food selection. Husband had the Reuben very above average! I had the dill chicken salad on white toast. Pretty Amazing .. Customer service can not say enough . MIKE hats off you were amazing with checking on us and answer questions us being new to WI .

Such a cute little place! You order when entering and food is brought to a table. I had the veggie omelette with fresh fruit and wheat toast. The omelette was fluffy and stuffed with vegetables, the toast was pre-buttered and held up omelette well, and the fresh fruit was probably the best I’ve had as a breakfast side. It was fresh and firm. Service was friendly and prompt. Great breakfast spot, will have to check out lunch.

First time here. I do this thing where I try to check out different restaurants, bars, hotels, and so on. Today I stopped here. It was beautiful. The food was amazing. Best hashbrowns I’ve had in a very long time. Their chicken omelet was seasoned to perfection . 10/10 would def go again.

Had a lovely brunch on a Wednesday morning. The restaurant is located in an older building on the old “Muirdale Grounds,” wonderfully restored. You enter a communal hallway, and then go into the restaurant.
Waitstaff take your order at the entrance; then you fill your beverage and find a place to sit.
The central area contains a bar and an interesting view of the kitchen. We chose the far room, which has lovely large windows, several tables and also sofas and chairs for sitting, and a comfortable atmosphere.
Our food was brought to us quickly. I ordered eggs, toast, hash browns, and bacon. My son ordered a vegetarian bagel sandwich, with hashed browns. Both meals were generously sized, and quite delicious! The staff were helpful and attentive throughout our visit. We sat longer than most (3 hours) – yet never felt rushed.
I highly recommend Ally’s Powerhouse. I plan to come again, soon.

I brought my
elderly Mother there for lunch. We are regulars in the Falls. This staff was absolutely the sweetest people on earth. They were so sweet in making sure my Mother got an elevator ride to our seat. Very kind. We will be back. We love the atmosphere and the food was outstanding.
