We visited Rochester to see the great Rob Schneider and have a night out. Afterwards we needed some kind of late night greasy anything! Toppers was the only place open close enough to our hotel and it was INCREDIBLE. Whoever helped us suggested we add those crispy cups and what a freaking GAME CHANGER. it was so good!!!

Good pizza for a good price but a total lack of consistency. The picture below was pineapple, pepperoni ,Italian sausage and hot honey drizzle. Another pizza was all pepperoni but some pieces had only 1 piece of an ingredient while others had many. Where is the uniformity when making the pizza? That’s my only reason for low stars. Barely any drizzle for a $1 extra. It wasn’t busy inside judging by the lack of orders lined up so no reason to rush the consistency of the pizza in my opinion.

The guy inside was awesome 10/10 for him, but this thin crust pizza tastes like they put cheese mushrooms and pesto sauce on a giant hard saltine cracker. They really took the meaning of thin crust to a level I’ve never seen. It’s so bad

Very good pizza and cheese sticks. The young man who helped us was polite and helpful. He helped us order 2 mediums and save some money so we got some cheese sticks too.

I’ve gotten pizza here a handful of times. Most of the time it has been good. But it’s the above average and below average experiences that get reviews. Ordered a medium pan pizza tonight with one of the House pizzas, The Stinger. As you can see in my photo, toppings are sloppy and unevenly distributed on the pizza. As you can also see, there is no hot honey drizzle on the pizza like there’s supposed to be. And as you can also see, the pizza was NOT CUT, at all. Store wasn’t busy, only one other order besides mine that was on the rack, two guys just hangin out by the rack, writing a sign that said tenporarily closed out for delivery will be back or something like that. I suspect it’ll only get more inconsistent and go downhill. I didn’t drive back to get it fixed, my time is worth more than a $10 pie.

the pizza here has always been amazing. i don’t live in rochester anymore, so whenever i visit i have to get toppers. today i got mac & cheese with mushrooms and tater tots. note that each of these toppings costed an extra $1. this is what i received. what the hell? is that really $1 worth of each topping? good thing i roasted a roma tomato and made some awesome sauce to put on it. 3 stars because how good the pizza is (was? haven’t tried it in a year).

God awful, I have always loved the toppers around Madison WI, I had a messed up order a couple months ago which the manager refused to fix but I thought I would give toppers in Rochester 1 more try. For an example (this also happened last time) order a dozen wings AND NO DRUMSTICKS? I already overpay for your locations mediocre pizza/service and you screw me on chicken wings? AVOID AVOID AVOID

Our experience at Topper Pizza on Marion Rd in Rochester was extremely disappointing. The staff was not only rude and unprofessional but also made us feel unwelcome and disrespected. We attempted to place an order for more than 10 pizzas, and we were told there’s a rule requiring advance notice for large orders — which we understood. So, we split the order between two different people to stay within the limit. Despite that, they still refused to serve us.
What made it worse was the way they treated us — with clear hostility and no attempt at basic courtesy. As Muslims, we couldn’t help but feel that their behavior was rooted in discrimination. The way they looked at us, spoke to us, and refused service went beyond policy — it felt personal.
No one should be treated this way, especially in a public business. We walked in as paying customers and left feeling singled out and disrespected. We won’t be returning, and we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

All I can say DELICIOUS! Highly recommended it. We are visiting this beautiful city and decided to try Toppers for dinner. We made an excellent choice

I’m disappointed. We chose Toppers over any other pizza in Rochester, despite it being the most expensive, because when it’s good, it’s great. So don’t mind paying the extra. Last time, we ordered two house pizzas, & received them with not only the ingredients which are advertised as part of the pizza, not on the pizza, but also, missing the four toppings we paid extra to add. When we called the store, the guy said “its my bad, we kinda seem to have run out of them. I meant to tell you.” I dont know what that means. If someone orders a pizza with the toppings you advertise to be on there, & you’re out of those toppings, you need to inform the customer rather than just sending out a pizza with only tater tots on it. Also, without the toppings they paid extra for. Two pizzas. Just with tater tots. It didn’t sit right with me so I called a second time & asked to be refunded for at the very least, the toppings we had added & paid for. He said he couldn’t do anything about it but that his manager would be in the next day and they’d be in contact to make it right. It has been over a week now. Today marks a week & we have received no communication. There was one other instance when this happened. We’d ordered pizza (2) & received totally different pizzas. We immediately ordered again, as they were closing in half hour & we didn’t want to be rude & first report it before reordering. We trusted that they’d compensate since we spend so much money there..& had proof by photos that we’d gotten the wrong pizza & also the receipts that we reordered immediately. Well, it took two weeks to be refunded. We finally were told to go to the store for cash reimbursement. But had to consistently check in about it. One of those many times of checking in about the status of our situation, my fiance was told “I do more than just deal with customer complaints at the store.” & then it was another week & us reminding them, before we were told we could go get our money back. I would never complain about something small. But to give two entirely wrong pizzas on an order nearing 50 bucks, a good tip, & regular customers…& then just never follow up or care to make it right, is more than unfair. It’s stealing. I didn’t write a review the other time it happened because even though it was like pulling teeth, we eventually got reimbursed. & i dont like to write negative reviews. But this is not okay to do to people. It’s also a bummer for Toppers as a franchise, because again, the pizza is great. Cusromer service at the SE location in Rochester, is not. At least not when you request compensation after paying for something & not receiving it.
P.s. whoever the driver was that night, was wonderful. He called to make sure we knew he left it outside. Was very polite. So it had nothing to do with him. It was whoever answered the phone & the manager (if he was even told about the situation, that is)
