I was driving around town because I haven’t been to the city since before. I needed to see and try to understand after. And then I needed a cool drink and a sit down. Not so many options here and this place was close. Got a soda and a side of the most legit tasting red beans and rice I’ve had since I’ve been here.
Came back 2 days later for some greens (also amazing) and great chicken wings. If you’re salt sensitive maybe ask for just a little sauce or get them unsauced and get a side of the hot sauce. It’s great with those wings.
I really hope this place thrives because it’s great food, great people, and an invaluable resource to the neighborhood.
Come show some love and get some great food.

We were dropping our son off to the National Guard post for him to prepare to leave for Basic Training and we had some time to have breakfast with him, so we searched for someplace close. This gem popped up. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with the warmest smile and greeting. The service was prompt , the food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming! If we lived closer we would visit often but since we can not , we recommend you do!!!!!!
