I love Zinc Coffee! Every time I am in Joplin I make sure to go through the drive thru to get coffee or matcha.
I love the atmosphere, when I am able to go inside and work I find it a great place to get my work done and focus. You can tell that the owners and employees have a passion for coffee. I love that the owners are Christians, you can tell that looking around their shop, but if you aren’t Christian it isn’t loud and in your face, but subtle touches around.
I have tried other local coffee shops but their flavor of coffee just missed the mark for me, I wish I lived closer so I could work here everyday. They also changed their branding and have the coolest scientist mascot!
I love that their outdoor space gives a place for a mama like me to bring their littles to have a safe fenced in area to visit with a friend and have a cup of coffee.
If you haven’t tried Zinc yet I highly recommend!

Stopped in during a long weekend in Joplin. At first glance, the shop looks small, but it opens up into a surprisingly large space with cozy seating up front, a spacious hall in the back, and even more seating tucked away. The outdoor area is also really nice, and the community board was packed with local events—clearly a popular gathering spot.
I ordered a blueberry pastry and a lavender rose hot latte. The pastry had an interesting dough, but the latte was underwhelming, the lavender flavor was barely noticeable. Overall a beautiful space, but the coffee didn’t quite live up to the vibe. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

This place is absolutely adorable! I ordered an iced shaken espresso with pumpkin, and it was fantastic and the staff was super nice and helpful! The vibes in here are absolutely worth bringing a friend.

I may be traveling and technically “on vacation,” but work doesn’t stop — and the first half of today was happily spent at Zinc Coffee. The space itself is a clever reuse of a former gas station, fitting since we’re just off the Mother Road, Route 66. That history adds a nice layer of character to the industrial‑but‑comfortable setting, with plenty of seating for both solo workers and small groups.
I was the first customer through the door this morning and ordered a cortado. It was perfectly prepared: served in the proper short glass, accompanied by a small glass of seltzer as tradition dictates. I set up my laptop at a two‑top table right by a power outlet and settled in for two very pleasant hours.
Between the thoughtful service, the quality of the coffee, and the inviting atmosphere, Zinc Coffee made working on the road feel easy. Five stars, without hesitation.

This place is fantastic! You can tell when a company has a passion for what they do, and these guys are passionate. The coffee is perfect; you don’t need a bunch of sugar to make it good. If it is good you are looking for, they have a small but mighty selection of sandwiches and parfaits. They do a wonderful job; keep up the great work.

Cozy, modern, tons of study space. The berry matcha is my favorite matcha drink I’ve had. Great place to get work done or have group meetings. Lots of natural sunlight. Drinks are on the pricier side FYI, but you are more so paying for an entry fee to the huge building
