Tamarind is my go to place for every celebration. Be it birthday, anniversary or any special occasion. The food is just superlatively delicious. The ambience is always warm and welcoming. Jenny serves food with her whole heart and she is super friendly. Chef Tashi’s almost all dishes are just mouthwatering.

Some of my favourite dishes are Chicken Hakka Noddles, Jhol Momo, Chethinnad Chicken, Samosa Chat, Chicken Biriyani and Tandoori Shirmp.

You must visit Tamarind for an experience and flavoursome food.

Let me start off by saying Tamarind is a bit of an enigma… went there for a lunch recently and left w mixed feelings….

The exterior dsnt really scream restaurant and front parking is tricky. Upon entering the feel is a bit more upscale than most others that tend to have a more streetfood vibe.

Giving the decor I was anticipating a bit more having gone to many high end Indian restaurants in the city close by. Not to say I or my party were upset but were anticipating a different experience.

Our waitress/host appeared to be disengaged right from the jump as she was slow to approach us and get us seated. She was also preoccupied w/ the only other seated table in the restaurant at the time. We weren’t given a run down on specials or really asked about anything.

We ordered puchkas and somosas n fortunately we frequent Indian cuisine or we would have been lost trying to navigate the menu.

Our food came out n sat for a few mins under a hot lamp while I waitress assisted a coworker bringing in supplies. I didn’t witness her wash her hands but she eventually brought over the apps and we started to dig in.

The flavors and spice were fairly good and on par w what you would expect no issues there….

Our entrees came out and didn’t have to sit long so a plus. We had a few kormas, tikka masala and vindaloo.
All the dishes were fragrant and had good flavor although the kormas were more reminiscent of a curry and missing that nuttiness from the cashews in the sauce. Spicy is actually spicy here so that’s a win.

The gulab jamun was good as far as density and saffron flavor but was lacking in milkiness and overall polish. Still pretty delicious if not a little on the small side

All in all for the price I was a little surprised at how the food was presented and that the staff wasn’t a bit more attentive. The food was very good flavor-wise but from kitchen to table things feel disjointed.
Not bad but room for improvement

As someone who is an avid restaurant goer, I can honestly say that Tamarind is one of our favorite restaurants by far! The food has always been exceptional, the staff very friendly and accommodating, and they have always been able to tend our specific needs. It is one of the few places where we can honestly say we have had an excellent meal every time we go, hence it is one of our go to spots! Whether you like dining and in or simply ordering take-out, Tamarind will guarantee you a great meal!!

100% is the best Indian cuisine I’ve had. I try something different every time I order and have not been let down yet. The food has a kick to it, so if you’re not into spicy, it’s not for you. Fortunately for us, we absolutely love it. The picture is the artichoke matter mushroom dish.

We arrived on a Tuesday night at 9:15 pm, well before the posted closing time of 9:45 pm, expecting to dine in. Instead, we were rudely turned away by the server (an Asian lady), who insisted dine-in was already closed. This was not a one-off misunderstanding—we’ve been seated at the same time before without issue.

The worst part? This restaurant is in the middle of nowhere. Once we were refused service, we had no alternatives. By the time we could have reached another option, everything else would have been closed. We were stranded, not because of the hours, but because the server clearly didn’t want to serve us. She was glued to the TV and made it obvious that customers were an inconvenience.

This wasn’t just poor service—it was dismissive, lazy, and disrespectful. If you’re considering this place, be warned: you may find yourself turned away despite arriving during open hours, with no other options nearby. After being treated this way and left with nowhere to go, we will never return.

This place was awesome. Came here for dinner on a Friday evening and the place wasn’t too busy. However, the layout of the restaurant is super cozy and it looks like they also have space outdoors for warmer weather. The interior is also super sheek and you have a view into the kitchen where you can see the operations behind the magic.

One thing I immediately noticed was how great the service was. The staff continually asked us how we were enjoying things throughout the meal. Moreover, they answered any questions we had about the menu.

The food came out very quickly and boy was it delicious. We ordered the lasoori gobi (cauliflower) for apps and it was delicious – sweet with a bit of a kick to it. Truly addictive! I ordered the hyderbadi biryani for my main and my wife ordered the delhi chicken. Both were incredibly delicious and packed with flavor. Moreover, the rait sauce that comes with the meal was packed with flavor. The meal ended up passing very quickly given how fast the food came out.

Overall, really impressed with this place and excited to bring family here for another meal. Will be back, and highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you’re in the area!

When we think about celebrations, Tamarind Fine Indian Dining is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding, my favorites Momo’s, Hakka Noodles, Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, and Chicken Tikka Masala might have been the best meal I have ever been served. Last but not least to mention, service was delightful. 10/10
