European inspired wine bar located in Hayes Valley serving new & old world wines both classic & natural. Birba Wine Bar is located in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. We are a cozy, laid-back wine bar with intimate seating and delicious food and drinks. Our patio and parklets offer an oasis from the chaos of the city, where we provide a sanctuary to truly relax and enjoy the company of friends. World traveled owner, Angela Valgiusti, has spent over a decade as a sommelier and restaurant manager in SF. She opened Birba which means “little troublemaker” in the spring of 2015 and now is happy to offer both al-fresco dining and retail wine for the road.
Wine bar for European wines & small plates in a charming, narrow space with bar & patio seating.

The staff is friendly and super knowledgeable, their wine selection is excellent, and you can browse the bottles right there and have a direct look at the labels, etc.
Also a some yummy snacks including salmon dip and deviled eggs. Will definitely come here more regularly.
The pistachio feta dip plate was fun. At $11, I’d happily recommend it.
Highly recommended for those seeking a low-key and unique side to San Francisco.
Featuring 2 patios, an intimate interior, and a personable staff, this is a cute rest stop to sip and people watch, catch up, or get to know a new cutie!
Food menu looks complementary to their beverage list.
Shout out to Abby and Shannon, thank you for the smiles and Lambrusco!
