I have found that Mi-Fu takes to heart the saying that we eat with our eyes first. It’s true. And their dishes are prepared and presented beautifully.
The teriyaki steak I chose was cooked perfectly, each piece having just a hint of char on it while still being medium rare. The vegetables with it were flavorful and provided a good texture.
The sushi that we chose to get this time was beautifully plated and delicious. We noticed that the ginger that came with it was not overpowering, which was a pleasant surprise.
Overall, this is a spot that I would recommend repeatedly. Very happy to have found this little gem.
I called in an order on Tuesday night to be picked up and my order consisted of egg drop soup, hot & spicey soup, chicken and rice soup, an order of egg rolls and an order of shrimp tempura.
The menu stated 7 shrimp tempura but I only got 5. None of the soup containers were full and even though I ordered three different soups I didn’t get ANY of the fried noodles that go in the soup.
The containers, of tempura dipping sauce and sweet dipping sauce for the egg rolls, were not even half way filled up meaning there wasn’t enough for either item.
The restaurant was not full and they were not busy so I’m not sure what happened but for the price, my order was over $35.00, I really didn’t get my moneys worth.
The food was excellent as always but it just felt like they were trying to cut down on the quantity to save money. That was my thought and impression. Especially with the 5 tempura shrimp instead of 7.
I called and explained the situation. I offered to send a picture. Due to my job- I can’t leave and take it to them. Their answer is for me to bring my food in (which would be my next working shift at 6pm) for them to see it.
Let me add that 5 months ago- I had an entire paper towel mixed into my fried rice. I had to bring them the meal- for them to make it right. The comment I received was “ oh- it’s a big piece”.
I do not live in town. When I order from this establishment. – this is my dinner for the evening. When it’s not correct. I go with out my meal. Just wanted to share. I’m okay to not order from them again.
