A hidden gem! On a road trip from Maine to Virginia, it was time for dinner and we decided to grab takeout. We are picky with our Italian food, my husband is Italian, and as soon as I walked in and heard those in the kitchen, I smiled. The food did not disappoint! We got the chicken francaise, shrimp fra diablo, and stuffed shells. Came with Italian bread, soup, and salad. So good! The staff was great, the place has a homey feel, we will be making it a point to stop in to grab food on our travels in the future! Thank you so much for a wonderful dinner!

Great food with wonderfully friendly staff. You cannot go wrong with a Morsnd’s Special for your pizza cravings. They also have other great dishes…try their lasagna with a salad. Alao, you have to get the house dressing on the salad (its great drizzled in your pizza too)! Dont forget to ask for their fresly baked, warm br3ad. Great local experience right here in Southbury!

We’ve had pizza, and we’ve had pasta. The pizza was not great – not unpleasant, but not great. I’ve only had it once so it may have been an off-cook. Buffalo wings were disappointing but only because I had allowed myself high hopes; they’re pretty standard small things, relative to most other places. What I do remember and what I will go back for is the alla vodka; holy cussword I’ve never had such incredible pasta anywhere in my life. And the side order of meatballs was also amazing and will also happen again.
The takeout business is heavy and the “waiting area” is terribly tiny – in fact it’s just the narrow entryway. Seating is a little tight… BUT that’s literally the reason I noticed someone getting THEIR alla vodka, which is the only reason I ordered it. Our server was very friendly but made a couple of mistakes – but didn’t complain about fixing them.
There’s something important that doesn’t get communicated even in all the preceding blather, and which is illustrated by comparison to the Corporate Bar And Restaurant just 500 yard north: While CBAR has a beautiful, extensive, expensively produced and engaging menu, Miranda’s is a low-ceilinged, gravel parking lot family business that feels really good to give my money to… and the best alla vodka I’ll probably ever eat.

The most delicious Italian food in the area in a cute little place that will make you feel transported in time. Try chicken/veal saltimboca. Absolutely delicious.

Honestly I heard decent things about this place. I tried it, and after my first order, I won’t be getting pizza from here ever again. For once I didn’t finish my meal. The pizza tasted bland and old. Pepperoni wasn’t great and cheese was budget at best. For the price, better pies are right down the road. Quality is just not there.

I was on a long journey and hungry. I searched for pizza and found this place for a couple slices. The walkway from the parking lot to the door is tight and gravel. I asked for 2 slices and they said they don’t do slices, only pies your sign says pizzeria. ♂️So I spent $14 and waited inside for 15 min for a small pizza. The crust was ok. The cheese and sauce were less than great. Not a golden look but more like a dull brown from oil. Disappointed with the whole experience. There were a few people already there and lots of people coming in, including a police officer, and also doing take-home. Seems they’re very popular with the locals and call everybody by name. As a first-time visitor, I didn’t feel the friendliness, more like rushed. The dining area of booths is a cramped space.
