Oct-25 Varied menu, so plenty to choose from, really busy so recommend booking. Group of 4, 2 couples, and had a great evening. Food was lovely, staff excellent, prices very reasonable, portions a good size. Will definitely visit again.

We had the most amazing experience at this local pub and restaurant! The food was absolutely outstanding — every dish was packed full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with so much care and attention. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve.
The staff were just as impressive — so friendly, welcoming and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel completely looked after from start to finish.
It’s so nice to have somewhere local that delivers both incredible food and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in a lovely atmosphere! ⭐️

This pub has recently won ‘ Pub of the Year’ for the second year running and I can see why. Food is great !
Huge choice on menu and very reasonably priced. My chicken was very tasty and tender .
Excellent choice of desserts too all £5.95 .
Booking advised as it’s very popular.
Staff are friendly and efficient.
Definitely recommend.

Really nice food, like really good. And good portions. Good service also. Only thing I’d say can be improved is whenever I’ve went with a lot of people the tables and the way they are set out isn’t really the best it’s a tight squeeze getting past but obviously can’t make extra space. Other than that 10/10.
I got the lasagne with a twist(has mac n cheese in) and the portion was huge couldn’t finish it so got it to take home. Very worth it.

First time in the Copper Mine pub in Crook today, for lunch, and on a Saturday.
The pub is between quirky and rustic.
All the staff were spot on for customer service, though very busy. There are a couple of areas where I didn’t take pictures because of this; & within 10 minutes, the pub absolutely packed.
Had to wait half an hour for food, but I understood. The food was worth the wait & spot on for food.
I had the sticky chicken with sesame with Rice & my hubby had the ciabatta chicken with bbq sauce & chips.
+ drinks £32 exactly.
The pub is kid friendly.
The pub has a beer garden and a car park.
The pub is dog friendly.
We will definitely be returning again soon.

We tried to have a meal here but were very very disappointed with the service. There were so many little things, but complaining only brought hostility and rudeness. I could go into all the details but it would make for a very long, very dull review, and having read some of the pub’s responses to many of the negative reviews here, no accountability will be shown, only defensiveness.
You can read this as someone writing a bad review for personal reasons. If so that’s fine – ignore it. But I’m not. I’ve giving those of you who read it a heads up – it seems most people have wonderful things to say about the place and that’ s great.
But if you have a bad experience it will leave a very sour taste in your mouth. It spoilt something that should have been a very joyful occasion and left me in tears.
I will add – the food we had was lovely – but everything else was truly a bad experience. Almost like they forgot that the Service Industry is about service.

We had an absolutely amazing night here from start to finish. Food was piping hot and soooo fresh. Beautiful and attentive staff members who made you feel so welcome and make the whole experience 10/10. thank you very much, we will absolutely 100% be back.

Started coming here not long ago and the food is delicious. The portion sizes are big and my favourite dish is the garlic mushroom starter it is extremely delicious! The service is also top quality and I have to give praise to the young blonde waiter (I believe her name is Clara) she gave outstanding service and was so polite and friendly. Overall a great experience every time we visit. Food is very high quality pub grub (but not really gastro), very tasty and good sized portions. Staff are exceptional. They look after us and our two dogs very well. Our go to pub for a meal out. Highly recommended.
