Went there on a Sunday, motivated by a TikTok review by Muncher Matt. Drove from the Norwich area, over an hour away. Muncher Matt was right on. Great pizza. Very friendly staff, specifically the owners sister. She gave me some pastries for the road for taking the hour plus drive to check them out. I would definitely go back! I finished the last piece of a large pepperoni for breakfast and took a couple slices to work the evening prior.

The food here is pretty good Italian cuisine. That said, the customer service is deplorable (which anyone who’s been there knows). As soon as you walk in you know who the owner is; her demeanor is visibly unwelcoming & off-putting.
Forget about having anything delivered, even if you live in the same town. They refuse to deliver outside of five miles, my house was six. You’d think they’d be more willing to make an exception when you’re spending $60+ on food.
Overall, this entire experience wasn’t good, and we won’t be returning. It’s striking how many other people have independently shared similar negative experiences with me about this restaurant.

We have ordered from Sergio’s for years. Every single time we order I request the pizza to be well done. Most times they are not well done. We keep trying with every order. I grew up in West Haven and like a charred pizza. This time they made a mistake on our order and like previous reviews I read they gave me attitude when I called to complain. They said it was my fault that I wasn’t clear on what I ordered. I could not have been more clear on what I wanted and they wanted me to pay for the difference in cost from what I received and what my actual order was. I was like you are kidding me!! Well needless to say – it is our last time ever ordering from Sergio’s again. I guess they don’t need good, loyal customers anymore. This place is not what it used to be!!

Really cool place. The food was delicious and the staff here were friendly and professional! We were able to enjoy the clam casino pizza in a new haven style which was delectable. The cookies were sold separately but we’re delicious! Parking was easily accessible and had plenty of spots open for lunch. I am looking forward to going back again soon!

This place use to be good. We order pizza tonight and they made a mistake on one of the pizza. My wife called them and got attitude from the person on the phone. She asked my wife “ what do you want me to do make another pie”. My wife said yes. The pie came over an hour later and was cold. It looked like they too a small pizza and stretched it to make it a large. The quality has gone down, the service has gone down and I will never purchase anything from them again

We didn’t even eat it. I tried to pick it up, the crust broke away from the soggy pizza. Gross.

Real deal pizza! On a very short list of good pizza places out of Hamden..Great food! A little loud when busy. Plenty of Parking in rear. Clean bathrooms. Experienced wait staff!

If you can get there, the pizza is delicious! But don’t trust their hours. Get confirmation that they’re actually open before heading out. Walked there to enjoy dinner by the Trail on Sun 5/25/25. Maps said they’re open. Their site said they’re open. Nothing on their door indicating they’d close early. But they did. Locked tight. Lights out. Walked back home hungry. :/

Haven’t been since pre-covid and much had changed. I rarely post reviews but as I’m up at 1:30 a.m. due to what I can assume was bad chicken or bacon on my BBQ chix pie, I felt compelled. Have had other local restaurant’s BBQ pies and in comparison much better and with no issues. As it was the only thing I ate after 12 noon yesterday, I can only conclude that some ingredient on that pie was the culprit. As a side note, my husband had the peppers and eggplant pie and although had no ingredient issues was surprised by the lack of flavor v.s. pre-covid. Sadly, we will not be revisiting in near future.
