A Hidden Gem in Old Greenwich ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

During our visit to the Old Greenwich area, we stumbled upon The OG Social Club and decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! My wife was craving breakfast, while I was in the mood for a good burger, and this place had both – talk about hitting the jackpot!

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The atmosphere was cool, sleek, and incredibly comfortable. The well-designed bar area greeted us with open arms, without the distraction of loud TVs overpowering the space. However, they did have a TV for those interested in sports or news – a thoughtful touch.

But let’s get to the real star of the show: the food. It arrived quickly and was presented fashionably. We started with an order of truffle fries (our go-to for comparing the best around, and we’re convinced we found them here!). Then came my meal, a delicious smash burger with a side of Caesar salad. My wife savored her breakfast at lunchtime, indulging in absolutely scrumptious pancakes. The pictures speak for themselves – the presentation was a feast for the eyes, and the taste was out of this world.

I wholeheartedly recommend The OG Social Club to anyone in the Greenwich/Old Greenwich area. The food, the atmosphere, and the service alone make the visit worthwhile. And if you’re like me, you won’t need to Google what “OG” means in the name – while I initially thought it stood for “Original Gangsta,” it’s simply the initials of Old Greenwich, where this fantastic restaurant is located!

A fantastic find and a culinary experience we won’t soon forget. We’ll be back!

Not sure why others wrote that this place is noisy, but we had a great time here on a Saturday afternoon. The place was half empty, and the music wasn’t the best (we can be picky sometimes). However, food was absolute heaven (Loaded Nachos, Smash burger) and the cocktails were innovative and delightful.

Located in Old Greenwich, the decore speaks of the crowd it was designed for, with dark furniture and waterfront Cafe vibes.

One downside was the chocolate lava cake, which was not properly baked and arrived half-frozen, but the waiter was very apologetic about it and more then compensated for the mishap.

We will definitely add this to the list of favorites in Connecticut, and maybe even try out one of the live music nights next time.

First time having this place because my friend recommended it. I love chicken tenders and when he said these are really good I had to give it a go. The chicken quality is delicious and the fries were such a great add to the meal. The sauces fit so well with every bite. My favorites were the mango hab and butter milk ranch. Over all solid meal for the price and I’ll definitely be a returning customer.

Came for a snack and some drinks.. had the empanadas and they were amazing! I didn’t want to have a cold drink so the bartender offered hot apple cider with rum and it was so good! Beer taps are flowing and a most of the food are fresh and made in the house.. will definitely stop by again

Extraordinary oysters, full brine and super tasty. The Japanese sauce and caviar made them so “crazy” good. A must try experience that they do only once a week. I wish they could bring the shucker guy more often…Good stuff.

This is a great spot. My family comes here once a week and now I’ve come back with my friend and we sat at the bar. It was a busy night but everyone was very accommodating and attentive. The manager kept walking around checking on us and everyone. Will return the beers are outstanding as well. Love the selection of IPAs on draft.

Attended a baby christening ceremony in Old Greenwich, CT, recently and was pleasantly surprised by the after event at the local OG Social Club. A large, high ceilinged tent was set up outside the Club, located well back from the roadway. A cool breeze and the high ceiling lent an airy feel to the festivities. Light snacks initially were served, then orders from the menu were individually taken. The food was good, not gourmet by any means, but hit the spot. Alcohol also was available. There is parking in the lot between the tent and the main road, as well as on street parking on the side street at the rear.

Stopped by for a nightcap. Their old fashioned is delicious. I think it’s the grapefruit in their simple syrup.
Brittany is a great bartender and the other staff is super sweet.
I’ll stop in again when I’m back in town.

I met a friend and I looked for Happy Hour Restaurants in Old Greenwich and OGSocial came up, so we decided to try it. I asked the Bartender if they had a Happy Hour and he said no, and a younger guy behind the bar giggled. The Bartender asked me for my credit card, so I gave it to him. We had one appetizer and 2-3 drinks a piece. I ordered a Grey Goose Martini straight up with 3 olives, He told me that’s not a Martini, he said the Vermouth makes it a Martini, I told him he was wrong. I’ve ordered this drink for many years. I asked for the tab and the young Bartender was getting my bill and I told him I wanted to pay cash. Meantime the whole time we were there, 2 guys that worked there
Were so loud you couldn’t hear anything but them! I paid cash and for some reason
I gave the Bartender a good tip. He said he would not charge my credit card. A day or so later I see I was charged on my card after paid cash. I called the place and they remembered me and my friend. I could hear the young bartender say that old man that was with a woman that sat over there. Very very disrespectful!!! This guy Carlos said they would reverse the charge and it would show up in my account in 2-3 days. Today is 9 days and I was not reimbursed so I called and Carlos said he was waiting for proof but he had the proof, It was taken out of my account. I said I would come there tomorrow which is Sunday with the proof. I’ll keep you posted ~~~
