Excellent scallops, delicious onion rings. Great service. Everything I’d heard about Ceal’s is true. Owner took my order. Parking in front, outside deck and covered deck. They will close for the season soon, but I am not sure of date. Definitely will be returning next season.

The looks of this place is deceiving there is no prices on the menu just pieces of electrical tape over the prices. I don’t care what it cost. It was the best fried scallops I ever had. They were sweet and perfect. We also got the clam box. It was $39 for that but also some of the best clams I ever had also and I’ve been to a lot of places . we ate in the car which is fine there are picnic tables there to eat outside there service was fast . I would highly recommend

Today was my first trip to Ceals. Portions were great and the price reflected the amount of food we got. It was delicious, and for $45 the seafood plate was plenty for both of us. Service was just fine, too – quick and efficient.
The only complaint I have is the size and portions of the condiments. The containers are SO small you can’t dip anything in them and even after asking for extra we didn’t have enough. If the containers were bigger it would have been so much easier to eat and there would have been plenty for the entire plate.
Will be back again, it was delicious, and even though VERY skimpy on the tartar sauce, the experience was great.

Once a year in July, for my birthday, my husband takes me to Ceal’s for the best fried clams ever. My first memory of Ceal’s dates back to the mid 1960s. My dad was a clam lover and would take me to Ceal’s since I was 5 years old. He passed 20 years ago, but now my husband brings me. We pay a good price for our order but boy are we ever satisfied . Can’t wait until next year.

It’s okay. The pizza burger was a sad looking patty smothered in what seems to be marinara with a minuscule smattering of sprinkled parmesan (like what you’d put on spaghetti). The lobster roll was decent but expensive and there were bits of shell in it. Regular frappes were extremely thin and tasted like too much Hershey’s syrup versus actual chocolate ice cream. Tender prices were odd, 7.75 for a small (5) and $17.75 for a large (10), didn’t make sense to us but whatever. All in all we’ll try somewhere else next time.

I’ve been coming here for years, and after reading some of the recent reviews, I felt it was time to share my experience.

First off, pricing is set by the business—not the customer. It reflects not only the quality of the food but also factors like labor, ingredients, and the expertise behind each dish. In my opinion, the prices here are absolutely fair for the caliber of food and the reputation this place has built over time.

The food is consistently fantastic, and it’s always a great spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. I’ve never had a single issue here. I usually make it out once or twice each summer, and every time it’s been more than worth it.

Thank you for the great food and great service—keep it up!

Went here the other day with my aunt and mother. The clams, chicken fingers, and onion rings were good. However, the haddock chowder was AWFUL. It was literal water. Both the texture of water and taste of water. They should have called this dish “haddock soup” because chowder is supposed to be thicker. Not to mention it had zero flavor, like not even a speck of pepper. We tried to bring this up to the owner but she immediately got defensive and told us how “popular” it is. I am not sure what that had to do with anything because WE did not like it and just wanted a refund. She also acted like we were handing it back to her which is false. I work in the food industry and I know you can’t give food back. We just wanted to show her what we were talking about. She did not have to make us feel so uncomfortable for just giving honest feedback. That is customer service 101! It’s a shame because the other items were good but I cannot support someone so rude to their customers.

Owners need a lesson in customer service. They combat EVERY CUSTOMER. Look at the lady complaining about her chowder LOL, I’ve come here since I was a kid but 80 bucks for a clam plate? Nope. Petey’s is a better deal, for whole belly’s for under 40. The old lady is gone anyway… things change. They are over charging old trustworthy clientele. It’s a wicked shame it used to be a staple for decades

First time here and I was told a nice story about how this place has been around for 4 generations since 1948, women run and owned. Amazing & lovely woman who is very proud of her and her families Ceal’s (her Grandmother’s name), in both the food and her family.

I’m super picky, and if I eat fried food I avoid places that use cornmeal/hardened & greasy coatings.

I ordered a small fried clam of which are incredibly fresh, with a nice, generous serving. The pic is missing two clams, I couldn’t help myself.

The coating is nice and light, no cornmeal that I can tell thankfully. Hints of garlic with the equally as delicious, fresh, homemade tartar sauce. So flavorful. These ladies go all out. Five stars, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Food way overpriced, no excuses, onion rings warm and greasy. Clams where good but way overpriced for the serving size. Box of scallops $70.00. I will not be back.
