Really cool dude gave us our food! I hadn’t eaten in two days due to a tooth extraction and my goodness, I swear that chicken and mashed potatoes hit sooo good! I was so grateful to have solid food. Im a bit picky, and that food and sweet tea was delicious. I actually feel human again! Thank yall for that southern hospitality! p.s the fact that had to literally sip from the cup is hilarious. (No straws for 72 hrs due to extraction)

I can’t believe how tiny the chicken pieces are. This is not worth the price at all. I can fit the leg and wing in one hand with lots of space. The tenders are like they cut one into three pieces. That is not a full scoop of mac and cheese. There should be a way to give zero stars. Do not waste your money.

I went in to eat. A rude woman with glasses walked away when I asked a question. Then told us they weren’t ready to open and didn’t know how we got inside. It clearly says on the door they open at 10. Also on the google page it says 10am. I asked the rude woman what time do they open. She told me 10 am????????
Then she told me her manager said not to open yet. Very unpleasant experience from this person to say the least. I personally will not be back. Was treated like a nuisance.

I went through the drive through… I ordered the 2 piece chicken amd on the menu bored it stated a thigh and a wind but I received a breast and a wing. I don’t do white meat. On top of that it was cold. I also ordered okra as my side. When I got to the window and paid they made me pull around front the guy told me they were waiting on okra…so I asked him to put salt pepper and hot sauce in my bag… I pulled around and about 5ish minutes later my food came out. The chicken was cold and also the okra was really cold… if they were waiting on okra to cook then why was it cold…. also the salt pepper and hot sauce was not in the bag so I had to go inside to get what I needed…. Really disappointed

Sunday, August 22,2023,6:30 pm I visited Golden Chick for my first time. I ignored the poor reviews and gave them a shot.I ordered 12 peice fried with mash and gravy macaroni a d cheese with 4 rolls. Total Cost $48.70 which is a bit pricey compared to other chains.. I drove 15 minutes back home to find there was no gravy for the mash and no rolls. I called and asked to speak to the manager, and the person that answered the phone said they were the manager on duty.. I kindly explained the issues I had and that this was my first time trying Golden Chick, and I was disappointed that this happened. The manager asked if I was coming back, and I replied no. I’m not coming back tonight. I’m expecting to hear I’ll take your name and make it up to you on your next visit. I hear again how can I help you. I said I guess you can’t help me. I’ll just leave a bad review like everyone else has. The manager now asked me why did you call if there is nothing I could help you with? I said because you need to know! The manager hung up the phone. The chicken and Mac were delicious. If I have an opportunity to try a different location, I will. I assure you I will not be back to this location.

My husband, I was traveling through Big Spring, and after having a horrible experience at Dairy Queen, we ended up here.
We were greeted at the door by a very nice young lady. That was a nice welcome after what we encountered down the street. This place is immaculate! Very clean, food is fresh and the 2 people working were very nice and polite.
We had the chicken strips, and they were very good. The rolls were delicious and fresh! The tea tasted yummy and fresh. Thank yall for taking the time to make us feel welcome and serving some delicious food!

Our first visit to this location was amazing! Every visit since then it has steadily declined.
The last week we went and the guy taking the order was highly distracted making the order process difficult (oh well people are busy, right). We get to the window and the guy at the window is dancing to music playing inside the restaurant and having a great time. He was very polite but again very distracted. I told my buddy “there is no way our order will be correct” to which we laughed.
When we got home with our order was missing two of the family sides, cold fries, and the chicken was under cooked . We wrote it off as another place being short staffed and decided we won’t be eating chicken anymore. However, on Facebook we see pictures of chicken like we were served this week meaning it is just about a common occurrence.
Eat here at your own risk right now because the chicken is raw or close to it.
