Great michelada, just make sure to stir it a bit before drinking and all the dishes were classic. Highly recommend if you want a quick lunch Mexican meal and a brew. Prices are very affordable, place was super clean, and the service from Mia was 10/10.
Salsas can be better. I like spicy, maybe to the non-Mexican pallet they are but to me they were okay in flavor but lacked that oomf from the spice. Still thou, perfect lunch spot 🙂

Food was great and flavorful and friendly service. My only issue for this place is they need to get a spicier salsa but other then that it was great… Update 6 months later sandwichs is still flavorful but the meat was chewy and the portions shrunk by half with the same prices. The service is still great as long as its not the younger waitress. On the upside their salsa verde was spicier and delicious.

I think they changed ownership, this one is way better the pupusas have double the meat, we tried the parrillada for one and it was so good . the salsas were bomb . i personally didn’t like the rice much other than that everything else was good . charro beans were good . they bow have a Bar (:
Visitamos Shuko’s recientemente en el desayuno , nos agarado la comida .
Pupusas de chicharron con queso estavan muy saladas .
Para la comida de desayuno que ofrecen seme ase que esta “Overpriced” .
regresaria a provar otraa cosas del menu .
la limonada esta rica .
el servicio es bueno.
the Salvadorian Sandwich is too thick and cold , they don’t toast it though. 6/10
chilaquiles 5/10 a lil too salty , the beans taste a lot like cumin & the potatoes smelled like old oil :/

I just wanted to start this off that I am 15 years old and never made a review on a restaurant ever so this was a really bad experience for my family and I. I recently just left this restaurant extremely disappointed. My family and I had came here for a quick breakfast, or so we thought. We sat down and looked through our options and a server came to us at a reasonable time to look over the menu and ask for a drink. We asked and it took them about 10 minutes to give us our drinks. I personally ordered the horchata and wasn’t pleased by how small the portion was. Once we got our drinks and ordered, it took them an outrageous amount of about 50 minutes to give us our food!!! Mind you, there was a max of 3 other parties in the restaurant. And the sad part is that the food did NOT make up for the wait. My father ordered a steak that was very dry and flavorless. My mother ordered a sandwich that was also flavorless. My littler brother clearly asked for an “American Breakfast”, but instead of that, he received the “Latin Breakfast”. BTW the eggs were very cold, probably because of how long we had to wait for them to make all of our food. And worse of them all, my older brother asked for a plate of fries with steak and eggs. After the rest of us got our food, it took the waiter like 5 minutes to come back and ask us what my brother had gotten. They had probably an hour of making our food and didn’t know his order?? We told her and waited for 10 minutes for her to tell us that it was going to take 2 minutes for it to be ready and finished, which we just rejected and told them we didn’t want it anymore because we had waited this much time so we didn’t have the time to gamble if she was actually telling the truth. And lastly, I had gotten a sandwich that was actually pretty good, but not worth the amount of time I had to wait to get it. We asked for the check so we can leave immediately. Also, something I did not appreciate was when our waiter and some other guy were staring at our table for almost the whole time when we got our food. They probably knew how much mistakes they made. Will never come again and don’t recommend.

Updated review: I’m changing me first review from 4 to 5 stars. Since my first review, I’ve eaten at Shuko’s about 9-10 times. I usually order for delivery and the food is always super hot and delicious. Only the first time I ordered was the food overly salty. Since then everything has been seasoned perfectly.
In addition to the green spaghetti, I have had the enchiladas, mini street tacos and pupusas. I especially love the fajita pupusas. The curtido that comes with it is really good. I really wish they would sell the strawberry lemonade again because that was my favorite drink. I’m not sure if they have it in the restaurant anymore, but it’s not available on DoorDash or Uber Eats. Please bring it back!
I have only dined in once and everyone there was so friendly! The restaurant looks really nice and it seemed very clean. I hope this place stays open because restaurants in Deer Park seem to come and go. I recommended it to a lot of people and everyone loves Shuko’s
Previous review: This was my first time to try Shuko’s and I ordered via delivery service. The temperature of the food was super hot upon arrival. I am only rating the restaurant based on the one meal I ordered, which was the green spaghetti. I heard others say how much they loved the food here, so I decided to give it a try.
I would have honestly rated my dish 5 stars if it hadn’t been so salty. The poblano sauce was so delicious and the chicken was super moist, flavorful and tender. This is how my plate looked after opening up the container; I should have spread the chicken out to make the dish more presentable, because it was a very generous portion. There were also 4 pieces of garlic bread, which I hadn’t opened yet. For $12.99, it was plenty of food. I made two full meals out of it.
I would love the return in the future because the food tasted that good, if the kitchen can modify the sodium levels. I thought the pasta was salty, but the chicken was even a tad saltier. This seems to be the norm at most restaurants now, and I love salt, but it was just a bit much for me. I really did enjoy the flavor of the spaghetti and chicken though.

We have picked up dinner from here a couple times and they didn’t disappoint! Very friendly staff and amazing food. Pork and cheese pupusa are delicious. We tried the green spaghetti this time and were very impressed! Highly recommend this new local restaurant. Looking forward to trying their breakfast!

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and received excellent customer service from Donna throughout our visit. We ordered the parrillada for two, and it did not disappoint — the beef was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We also tried the chicharrón with avocado, which was crispy, fresh, and absolutely delicious.
The drinks were refreshing and paired perfectly with our meal. What really stood out were three main things: outstanding customer service, flavorful food, and great pricing. This restaurant truly delivers on all fronts — we’ll definitely be coming back!

I gave Shuko’s a 4☆ based on a verbal recommendation from a Chase bank teller, and from the food i saw on the table from some customers as I scouted the restaurant for my family. Their food could fetch 5☆ once it reaches my taste buds. The place looked welcoming, as did the outside patio. Can’t Wait for cooler temps to eat outside.
