What’ll ya have? :::::: How about every damn thing on the menu, please!
ON TAP is a rockstar joint with an amazing menu and staff! This is the spot for a Friday fish fry, football games, and a fun atmosphere! On Tap serves the best fish sandwich in the city, and it’s a perfect order for lunch or dinner, and they also offer a very good range of burger options, served with fantastically flavorful patties and solid side options, such as; curds, tatter tots, or salad. On Tap has the best customer service, too! They have rockstar servers and bartenders, some of the best personnel in the city! This staff knows how to create a fun atmosphere for the customers and they thrive in it!
Not to mention — beers everywhere! Lots of options and seasonal changes, with many locally sourced beers available. Really BIG things happen here, and the restaurant often has live music out on the patio, or they will have an in-house dj for indoor entertainment. Lots of comradery, lots of conversations…you won’t find a better place to be than On Tap!

If you know it’s open but the doors seem locked, you can get there through the hotel entrance attached. We were at the door for a few minutes and no server let us in (shows the poor attentiveness), so that’s why we had to go through the hotel entrance. It took almost 5 minutes before a server stopped by with menus and almost 10 minutes before we even got water served. The ribs were not good and the cheese steak did not have enough steak. I liked the portobello sandwich. Don’t be fooled by getting cheesy mashed potatoes, as it’s just mashed potatoes topped with a small handful of shredded cheese. I would not recommend going here between the mediocre food and slow service. The saving grace of the place is that it is a cool historic Pabst building with a really nice outdoor patio.

It was kind of dead in there today besides a big brunch party in the back. We were excited to try a new place. But unfortunately we were disappointed. Our server asked for patience because he was the only one serving as far as we could see. We asked for brunch menus and he said he couldn’t give us any because they were all taken by the party in back. Ok so I asked what kinds of brunch they offered he was knowledgeable. But in the end we felt it was unexceptionable to not be able to see a brunch menu and have to guess what to eat with the server so we left.

We had a fantastic time at On Tap! Our server Jo made it super special. She was really helpful with recommendations and super sweet with our two little kids. She made sure we were well taken care of. Food was great, beer was cold, service was excellent. Can’t wait to come back!

They have a great menu, but the food wasn’t very good. We started with cider and apple pie shot with the buffalo egg rolls and they were both delicious. We had the mac n cheese with chicken tenders and a cheeseburger. The mac was very bland with zero flavor. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to it. The burger was really salty. Staff was friendly and applied a discount. There was a holiday market down the street and a concert that night. They were having a hard time keeping up with the amount of people. We’d give it one more chance. The cook and seasoning make a difference.

Came here Friday night to catch music on their back patio and grab dinner. Started with an old fashion and a dirty martini which cost $29.26. Tasted good but overpriced. Misses had the fish fry and I had the rib dinner. Both were unimpressive. My mashed potatoes looked like they were squeezed out of a tube and were hard on the outside. They were served with what the waiter called gravy that looked like dish water as you can see in the pic in the silver cup. Fish was in a PBR beer batter and was average. Ribs were average as well. Coleslaw was inedible. Go for the beers and atmosphere.

It was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! And this says a lot because I’ve traveled throughout the United States and Europe as well as Asia. I made my reservations directly with Chloe. She was absolutely amazing! One of the nicest people I’ve ever met on earth. I had told her that due to Covid when I got married to my wife Jillian we could not have a honeymoon. And asked her if I could get nice room with a good view, she gave me the best room and my last name is Beer. This room even has doors that have windows that go to the bedroom that look like glasses of beer! We had a bottle of champagne, waiting for us. The room was absolutely incredible and one of the cleanest best rooms I’ve ever been in! The whole staff was absolutely wonderful!!! We became friends with the manager of taps, the bar downstairs and the shuttle driver. He gave us recommendations of everything to do in Milwaukee, including the safe room. The view from our room on the top floor look down over all the beer vats. Mr. and Mrs. Beer came for the Oktoberfest or German fest had never been in Milwaukee before and plan on coming many times in the future!! And this is mostly because of the hospitality and the wonderful people at the brewhouse! Chloe, We want to give you a big hug!!

Awesome history in the area. We’re in from Ca. for a navy boot camp graduation in Great Lakes, Chicago area. We ventured out to Milwaukee and stopped by for some PBR history. They’re doing big things out here and it’s awesome to see. Hit Louis up at On Tap for some great beer and area recommendations and enjoy the ambiance and environment!!

A really cool bar attached to a really cool Hotel – located in the original Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery.

It’s right across the street from the PBR Museum and a perfect spot for a true Wisconsin experience, – their PBR battered cheese curds are a must. All the staff were so helpful but the manager Cassandra went above and beyond. She was so welcoming and really made everyone feel at home.
