The food itself was good, and the man making my sandwich was polite and professional. Unfortunately, the experience at the register ruined it.

The blonde woman working the cash register was rude, dismissive, and had a clear attitude. She appeared unsure of what she was doing and stood around instead of checking me out. I was left waiting until the sandwich maker eventually stopped what he was doing and came over to help me.

Good food doesn’t make up for poor front-of-house service. Basic courtesy and competence at the register shouldn’t be an issue at a place like Jersey Mike’s.

Edit

After looking more closely at my sandwich while eating, I noticed a long blonde hair embedded in the food (visible in the photo). This was disappointing and should not happen.

Between the hair in the food and the disorganized, dismissive handling at the register, the overall experience fell well below expectations for Jersey Mike’s.

They make the best sandwiches that are always loaded with fillings!
Not only that, but the customer service is fantastic. If Mike is here when you come in, consider yourself lucky! He makes great sandwiches with a smile on his face and gets you to smile as well!

Be veryyyy wary of ordering delivery from this location. They are incredibly inaccurate with making sure you get all the food you paid for. Multiple times now I’ve only received 1 of my 3 items ordered. Disappointing because the food itself is great when they do get it right. PLEASE change your system for checking online orders are bagged correctly!!
Thankfully the delivery service gave me my money back

I love jersey mike’s #65 portabella chicken philly. I order 1x per month from this location. Usually juicy, creamy chicken & veg. Today it was so very dry. Hardly edible. Hopefully an anomaly.

I’ve been a loyal Jersey Mike’s customer for years and typically order a #7, always requesting it to be tossed on the grill for about a minute on each side. I’ve never had an issue with this simple request—until today.

I visited your Birmingham store around 6 p.m. on a Monday evening. I was the only customer in the store, yet the employee refused to grill my sandwich, stating that “corporate no longer allows us to do that.”

I understand that during busy lunch rushes, such requests might be difficult to accommodate. But under calm, off-peak conditions like this, it’s disappointing to be denied a basic customer preference—especially one I’ve been able to get consistently for years.

If this is indeed a new corporate policy, I urge Jersey Mike’s to reconsider. It seems counterintuitive that hot sandwiches are allowed, yet warming up a cold sub for a customer isn’t. This small gesture can make a big difference in customer satisfaction.

The employees act like thugs when I walked in, told me to wait where I could not see the menu to order. How can I order if I cant see the menu ? It’s also how they said it like they were strait out of prison, tough guy wins mentality.
I walked out, will not be back.

Sub was good. I was still hungry though. I can’t justify $18+ for a sandwich. Place was clean. Decor was nice. Workers were great.

I tried this place for the first time and wow! Jersey Mike’s has really good subs!
I had this free sub coupon someone gave me and I redeemed it one day and I’ve been back to order at least 5 times now over the past few months.

Service is always welcoming and the place is clean. The size of these subs gives me my money’s worth.

The cookies are good but in store prices are different than in the delivery app price, just saying.

I’m definitely a return customer as long as they keep up with the quality and service, I’m in there, like..,

The dude that took my order was a large black man. He mumbled in such a weird baritone like grinding rocks. I’m not certain that he spoke English but he seemed to understand me. The guy that actually made our Giant sub talked the whole time. He had a ponytail and seemed like he was going to do close-up magic at any moment. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. Number 9, Mike’s way, add peppers and pickles. 20 bucks to absolutely destroy two grown people. Use caution.
