We ordered 1 medium and 1 hot order of chicken wings for pickup in 30 minutes. We got there 20 minutes later, waited 5 more minutes and had 2 steaming orders of awesome wings. The place was quiet, service was efficient and food was excellent. The wings are HUGE and the orders are larger than most. (We actually couldn’t eat them all in one sitting and warmed the left overs the next day–still terrific)Wings are moist, neither overdone nor undergone with a great Bleu cheese. Very happy!

We have enjoyed their wings but the fish fry was wonderful! Nice neighborhood bar style place with lots of seating. We were waited on quickly and the food was hot and delicious. Definitely worth the stop!

Been getting wings here for a long time. Used to be the best in town. Ordered wings today they said 30 minutes. We get there on time and are told by the waitress our order will be ready in 5 minutes. We went to go sit down and the floors were very sticky and unclean. We waited another 30 minutes seeing dozens of other customers getting their food before us when we ordered before them. I ask the waitress if we’re close, she says she will go check. She comes back from the kitchen and never approached us. Very rude and inconsiderate. We left. Terrible service. And very dirty floors. Workers need a better attitude. Would leave 0 stars if i could. Do better.

We got to Bernie Murray’s early for dinner. The bartender asked if we would like to wait so we did. She brought us drinks, then came back 5 min later saying the cook is ready to start cooking if we would like to eat early, so we did. Fish was good, my piece was rather thin and greasy, my partner was happy with his. Might go back for there specialty chicken wings.

The same Bernie Murray’s that I remember from my childhood. ❤️ The burger and fries were delicious. The chicken wings haven’t changed since the last time I was there over 10 years ago. Everything was outstanding. The service was great. The restaurant, itself was exactly as I remember. The wings were almost $20! I understand that it’s not the fault of the restaurant; it’s inflation, in general. The bottom line,l unfortunately, is that it prevents so many from enjoying a hometown favorite as often as they’d like. Also, be aware that they do not accept cards as payment. There is an ATM machine available, though. I definitely recommend stopping by for drinks, snacks, dinner or even a large get together location.

Food was incredible! Look at the meat on that Reuben! Best Reuben sammie in the area. Only glitch, we had a long wait and received very little attention from our server. In their defense, server seemed really young and likely very new.

My favorite place for wings in Elmira. The other well know place wings are too big (do you eat wings for the meat or for the sauced crispy skin?), is a little more bar like and sometimes has an attitude. Not table service to get another beer when I was there. Bernie’s is the best.
