Came when it was little busy but the staff was all working diligently to get orders completed.
I got a large Berry-Licious smoothie and a Single Dagwood.
Both were delicious! The smoothie was very well blended, perfect consistency and very sweet. All the ingredients on the Dagwood were fresh and tasty.
The sourdough bread is so soft and fluffy, 10/10 sandwich, will definitely be back!
The manager Katie was very nice and helpful with an ordering/training issue. She promptly took action and fixed the issue.
Very much appreciated!

First, please let me point out that this is not an attempt to harm this business, but simply to educate them in the hopes that they will do better.
I love the food from the works in order from there quite often. But a couple things I find So troubling thatI think I will have to stop ordering from them. Since the first time I ordered from them and the bacon on my sandwich just showed up raw I specifically after placing my order with DoorDash call the store and tell them “please make the bacon extra extra well done”in the hopes that even be cooked. I tried to make a note on the order under special instructions, but received a message that the store does not take special instructions… So I read that as “you’re gonna get what we give you and like it”
It’s not like I’m trying to build my own order. I’m simply asking for an item on my sandwich to be cooked and not so raw that will make me sick literally raw.. I’ve tried everything I can to make the situation right because I really do enjoy their food but their lack of care for customers I feel like makes that impossible. I hope you do better in the future. Good luck.

Great spot for good sandwich. I ordered the turkey and bacon with avocado on sourdough and it was excellent. It was nice that they have an area outside to enjoy good weather with your meal.

We go here often. It’s perfect for a little quick stop to grab a bite to eat. The eggs are outstanding. They have lots to choose from bagels, sandwiches, salads, smoothies etc. UPDATE: I used to give it more stars, however it has seemed to be going downhill every visit. The comments and other reviews are sadly all similar on how the cashiers tend to not be overly friendly and can get your order wrong. It’s also just too expensive. For 1 bagel with egg and cheese it’s almost $7. We rarely go here anymore, which is a shame. I haven’t seen any change after all the complaints on similar issues.

It’s my favourite cafe. I have been there 3 times with different locations. The first time I had was in NH. It was really amazing. Being a vegetarian and a perfect sandwich is what I was looking for here in United States. This is great. I ordered Farmers Veggie and Cheese. I dont have a perfect photo for it as it was just grab and go, but it really is delicious.

I’m a loyal Works Café customer and usually have an excellent experience, but today was frustrating and needs to be addressed. While I was in Albany, I placed my order through the app. It automatically selected the Albany location for me—without me choosing it—so I accidentally arrived at the Latham location to pick up my food.

When I explained the situation, the staff made the process far more difficult than it needed to be. Instead of helping me resolve a simple mistake caused by the app, I was met with resistance and confusion. The older woman with glasses, in particular, was frustrating to deal with. She did not make the situation easy, and I felt like I had to jump through unnecessary hoops just to get my order corrected.

It wasn’t until I mentioned that I would take the issue to corporate that things were suddenly resolved. As someone who orders from Works Café regularly, I don’t think a customer should have to reach that point just to receive basic assistance.

I hope management can address both the app issue—where it auto-selects locations—and the customer service concerns. Loyal customers appreciate kindness, clarity, and support, especially when the mistake stems from the system, not them. I truly enjoy Works Café, and I would love to see improvements in how these situations are handled in the future.

Grabbed two cookies. They were stale, which is not acceptable, especially when paying $2.75 per item. The server behind the counter was friendly and kind, but did not know what all the bakery products were. Clearly not her fault, but there was a lack of training. I know this has become standard practice, but I am so annoyed and exhausted at being asked to tip cashiers. It’s a turn-off and it does inform my decision to return to a business. One star for atmosphere: I don’t want to eat my food with people’s pets. The day I visited it was 25 degrees outside and I had the pleasure of a giant husky leering at me throughout my experience. Dogs are amazing. I love dogs. I appreciate when businesses have outdoor seating for pet owners and their animal friends. What I do not want is to be sniffed/greeted inside by someone’s dog who just took a giant dump outside and licked their own butt because that’s what dogs do. The staff was petting the dog. Kinda gross for people who are making/serving food.

Cool place! It was my first time eating here. Cute atmosphere. Nice staff – very helpful. My daughter was able to sample the Mac before committing, and she loved it. It’s a better option than Panera because they actually make the stuff here instead of pouring it from a bag. We will definitely return.

The food was very good. Service was polite and hurried. I had a veggie breakfast burrito and it was decent. A lil heavy on the artichokes but otherwise tasty.
