This is one of my most cherished Korean dining establishments. The cuisine is delectable, and the customer service is exceptional. Another remarkable aspect of this restaurant is its late-night operating hours. It comes highly recommended.

This place has the best Bossam I have ever had in North America. The meat is cooked to perfect tenderness, coupled with good kimchi and soil bean paste yummy! The fried chicken wings was also battered very deliciously. Overall, great food. Only small complaint I had would be they only had one server, he was so busy it was hard to get his attention sometimes but he was very polite and courteous. Great experience overall.

Small and cozy dining area. We had seafood pancake, seafood soup with clear broth, and fish soup with red broth. The waitress helped us order

Ordered the soft tofu soup with kimchi, spicy seafood soup, and the half and half wings. Portions were big and all the food was delicious!! Really hit the spot on a rainy day. Also, our servers were very nice and gave excellent suggestions based on our tastes. We arrived at opening for dinner at 5pm and it was quite busy by 6pm on a Saturday. Added to my list of local favorites!

We ordered three dishes, and all of them exceeded our expectations in terms of taste. The only downside was that we didn’t receive the soybean stew that typically comes with the barbecue. Aside from that, everything was great.
However, both the interior and exterior could use some updating – the space looks exactly the same as it did 12 years ago, which takes away from the overall vibe. Definitely not a place for a romantic anniversary dinner.
Cleanliness: Pass

Vibe: Fail
Taste & Flavor: Pass
Revisit intention: Maybe (mostly because of the vibe)

Food was great with generous portions, and the service was excellent! When a menu item I requested wasn’t available, they were honest about it and offered great alternatives

Before watching the movie, we decided to try the chicken at Gilson Korean restaurant. The golden, saucy chicken and the seafood tofu soup were so delicious! We didn’t realize the portions would be so big, totally worth it for the leftovers. The server was very nice, and even though he was the only one working, he was quick and easy to communicate with. The place has a great vibe, and we were glad to get a non-KBBQ table, so we didn’t leave smelling like food. We loved it, such a great find!
I forgot to capture everything we try to rush for only one hour before we watch a movie.

I went there one night with my friend Susan and I have to say, the bossam was exquisitely Korean and was incredibly delicious! We also ordered Korean stew and galbi and they were all very good. I’ve had other Korean foods in lynwood area, but they’re not that great, it doesn’t have the Korean authentic flavor and so glad I went there and had a great time, we even tipped alot for the great food! I highly recommend bossam though

We had bossam combo and the portion was quite generous and both the bossam and the makguksu(noodle) tasted so good. Kimchi was definitely my favorite! Spicy squid was so goood; asked for a big bowl and had the squid mixed with white rice and I just loved it! Fried chicken wings were very crispy and flavorful. I am totally coming back!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 – Spicy Pork Intestines was a bit sweet but so good! The rice cake was cooked well and still had a chewy texture without becoming too tough or mushy. Texture was a bit chewier than expected rather than super crispy. It looked like a small serving initially but quite filling
Soft Tofu Soup with beef was a bit sweet too which was surprising initially and a bit too much at the end. The tofu was so soft and the meat actually absorbed the soup flavor
Spicy Cold Noodles was a generous serving. Simple with just lettuce, cabbage, and noodles with sauce but very satisfying.
Ambience: N/A – ordered food to go. Have pop songs on which is a bit loud. Not very good ventilation. Very rustic feel
Service: 5/5 – very attentive for the to go orders even when 4 parties walked in within 5 minutes of each other
Value for price: 4/5 – the protein dishes are all quite pricey and we decided not to get KBBQ due to price and minimum of 2 proteins. However, everything we got was tasty even if a bit on the sweeter side.
