I used Chapala for my wedding in January 2026. They catered for over 100 people with everything I could want – tacos (pollo y asada), rice, beans, aguas frescas, and toppings for the tacos. They were responsive to email and then as the date got closer, we switched to texting. The total was due a week in advance and was amazingly affordable for the amount of food. The tacos were premade, ready to go in their tortillas, which kept the large line flowing at a good pace. The delivered to the venue in Mount Vernon, with no extra charge. Everyone raved about the food, saying that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. On top of all of that, Chapala staff was so nice through the whole process. I am so happy to have shared my favorite place with all my friends and family on my wedding day.

We’ve been here 2 times so far when visiting in Mount Vernon. We just happened to see this as we were out riding our Can Am one day. Decided to stop for a quick snack – and were shocked at how delicious the Nachos were! We stopped by again the next time we were in Mount Vernon. HIGHLY recommend trying this little out of the way restaurant. We LOVE it! Very authentic feel and taste to this little gem, and the people are great. Lovely alternative to the burger dives most bikers find along their way.

This place has the best chimichangas I’ve had anywhere… I highly recommend them. All their food here is pretty solid, and that’s saying a lot in a city where Mexican food is quite prevalent.

Chapala has been amazing since I first started picking up orders from them at the 76 gas station location. The food is top notch, fresh, cooked the way you want it, every single time. I have even called in an order and forgotten to add a modification to my order and the server there (I forgot her name I’m terrible with names, but she’s amazing and always remembers my wife’s vegetarian order and my special order! She knows who she is ) actually reminded me of what I usually do and and fixed it for me before it was even an issue! It doesn’t get any better than that! The. Best. Mexican. Food. Around. Period.

Inside of the restaurant is very cozy, dimmer lighting with neon signs really set the atmosphere for the mixed bar and seating for dining!
Food itself was fantastic, big portions with authentic mexican flavor. Had the flautas with chicken, they were topped beautifully (didn’t have the idea to photo them sadly!!) and I loved the slight zest. Their spanish rice also actually has FLAVOR, unlike most places!!! Very very good!
The waitress was also very sweet, and I could overhear from her conversations with her coworkers that the atmosphere for the workers is definitely very friendly as fun as well, which I ALWAYS love to see!! Me and my boyfriend will definitely be returning
