Came here while on vacation visiting my family. My grandfather enjoys the food, so we stopped to pick up an order I placed ahead of time.
The moment I walked in, the atmosphere shifted. People stared as I approached the counter. I was the only Black person there, and when I smiled and greeted the woman politely, she hesitated to take my money, pinching it by the edges like it was contaminated, like either the money was filthy, or I was. When I asked for my change, she dismissed me. The table beside me went silent, and I could feel eyes on me the entire time.
My relative even noticed everyone staring from the moment I walked in until I left. The experience made me feel singled out, unsafe, and frankly, racially targeted.
The food looks and smells delicious, and under different circumstances I would have come back, but I will never step foot in this establishment again. I love and support the local community and businesses, and South Carolina has a special place in my heart, but this experience removed the rose-colored glasses I had.
If you’re a Black person, be cautious when frequenting this establishment.

Best little restaurant. Great atmosphere and friendly people around. Food was excellent. I had burger basket and my wife had wings plate. Will definitely be back and will tell everyone to go there.
