It doesn’t get better than this. There’s no place that can replicate the same results and deliciousness that they produce. I’m so addicted to La Jarochita, that DoorDash already knows my orders before I get there. It’s just so good and they never fail. It’s fresh and abundantly.

First off I’ll start by saying I never make reviews I really have to leave somewhere feeling like more people need to know about this. Me and my boyfriend gave La Jarochita a try after hearing a few people recommend it—and wow, we’re so grateful we did! We drove down from Toms River, and honestly, I would travel even farther just to eat here again.

The food was so, so good—fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. I know good Mexican food, and this is hands down the best in the area. The portions were above and beyond and you usually don’t get that at restaurants anymore. On top of that, the prices were amazing—you get way more than what you pay for.

We also loved the vibe. The outdoor seating area is adorable, and there was live music while we ate, which made it even more special. It felt like a mini escape.

If you’re anywhere near Manahawkin (or even if you’re not), you need to check this place out. Great food, great prices, and an even better atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Fresh delicious food!! Highly recommend!! We enjoyed our seafood so much, and the kids tacos with rice and beans was a nice family option! Juan was a friendly and professional server who made us feel comfortable exploring the menu. Atmosphere was also colorful and beautiful, perfect for some nice pictures.

We really liked it! they have ample parking and a great location ✅️. The restaurant is very colorful and well-decorated; I loved seeing paintings that feature Mexican artists, several walls and tables were painted with colorful Mexican floral designs, very nice . The food was excellent, we ordered enchiladas, burritos, and chimichangas . The portions are very generous, easily enough to share. Prices are very competitive . The service was friendly and fast. All payment methods are accepted. Recommended! ✨️

Best Mexican restaurant in town. Delicious and gigantic portions so, dinner for tomorrow too. This was our second time and there will definitely be more visits. The staff are great as well! We had a little wait and they gave us guacamole on the house, which was a nice surprise.

I travel and work throughout the entire state, and this is hands down without a doubt the best Mexican food you can find. It’s the definition of homemade, absolutely phenomenal food, with massive portions at a fantastic price, not to mention the interior is fun, festive and clean. I’d suggest going in on a Friday or Saturday as I’ve had the opportunity to a couple times, especially if they have the band playing. Absolute blast. Staff is always on top of everything and as friendly as can be. Honestly, probably one of my top 5 places in Jersey

We walked in and were quickly taken by the atmospere and bright Mexican decor that found its way beautifully to the colorful tables and chairs. As we were soaking up the ambiance we were quickly seated by their friendly and efficient staff. They have a very extensive mexican menu with the usual classics and quite a few special dishes especially fish varieties, they even are open for Mexican breakfast which I am hoping to try soon. They start you off with a big platter of fresh tortilla chips served with melted cheese and black bean dip, we had no trouble eating them all before out order was even taken. We ordered their Mexican style empanadas, I am very picky about empanadas, having had them all over North and South America, first off you get five huge empanadas with various meat and chicken stuffings, these were just barely ok, greasy and not much flavor to their fillings, very odd for a Mexican kitchen. We then went on to have the Carne Azteca, which had a piece of thin steak, Mexican sausage grilled with onions and served with pico de gallo, guacamole and an ear of fresh corn on the cob. This plate was tasty but the meat was overcooked and somewhat on the tough side, for our other meal we had the steak fajitas which were huge and with all the usual accompaniments, unfortunately the steak strips were tough and chewy, the large homemade corn tortillas that came with it were excellent. Portions here are phenomenal and you will probably be taking food home. We would have loved a nice Margarita to go with the ambiance but it a BYOB establishment. I would have liked to have given this restaurant five stars but the food weakness’s made it difficult. I definitely plan on coming back and trying some of their interesting specialties and having a classic Mexican style breakfast.

Wow. Mexican restaurants are all over the place. They are usually more miss than hit and its very disappointing. This place gets it right. Massive portions reasonably priced and delicious fresh authentic. BYOB. outdoor seating as well. Ample parking. Staff is always so friendly. Finally really good mexican food.

Staff here is always fun and welcoming. They treat our son like family since the first time we went. It’s BYO, and the food well every time we go is just fantastic! Empanadas, chorizo queso, guacamole, calamari fritas, and I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s a giant stone bowl overflowing with peppers onion, cactus, chicken breast, strip steak, pork chop and chorizo! It’s huge and meats are moist and tender! One of the better restaurants in the area!
